IDIOTIC, off-topic posts such as the one this is in response to are just
what the Co$ wants to see, as they are desperate to prevent people from
being able to read about and discuss the few pros and many CONS of their
cult.

Hopefully all the name-calling children here will be ignored, and ideas and
plans can be presented for the culling of what is of value in $cientology
into a practical, ethical (dictionary definition) and affordable
psychotheraputic methodology.

Thats an incredibly optimistic position you've just expressed. What
exactly do you see in Scientology (therapeutically) which doesn't
already exist outside of (or doesn't predate) Scientology? I'm not
saying there isn't anything that doesn't fit that parameter, but after
reading 18 LRH Scientology/Dianetics books and listening to hundreds
of LRH lectures, I have not seen it...

Peace,
Chef Xenu

*********

I also read most of Flubbard's books, heard many of his taped lectures, and
with effort and at great cost finally achieved the state of Dianetic clear.
Before this, I experienced various forms of "therapy" with various
psychologists.
Since leaving $cientology, I have taken courses such as the Silva Mind
Method and Avatar.

I'd rate Dianetics better than any other form of psychotherapy I am familiar
with. That's not to say there are none better than Dianetics, but I have not
personally found any. Yes, I know that Dianetics was largely taken from
earlier work, such as Korzybski's Abreaction Therapy.

I cannot deny, despite the many evils of the cult built from it, that
Dianetics when properly done is highly beneficial.

I found Avatar also extremely beneficial, and am now very content with my
life and typical state of mind. A big part of my acquired wisdom and freedom
came from the Avatar materials, which I recommend highly. As far as religion
goes, and I mean ALL religion, it is a TRAP to be avoided at all costs!
