I thought I would experiment and compare rollers since I wanted to paint
the deck and the hull different shades. ( I will be painting my Irwin
soon)
One of the foam rollers I used is sold at West Marine

the other roller I bought at Home Depot
http://quali-techmfg.com/Pages/rf.html
The Qulai-Tech ( Home Depot) Foam rollers Win Big Time !
Because:
they are smaller in diameter ; because the end opposit the handle
frame is all foam and rounded it is much easier to get in the corners
where the squared cylinder roller thats resides on a roller cage (west
marine) cant get in corners = more work with the trim bruch getting
corners with WM caged rollers.
Home Depot also sells foam rollers for cage style roller frames

with the Quali-Tech rollers there is like a bearing built in the foam
cover that just slides on the rod of the handle (no cage)
I can't find the receipt but I am sure the HD qualitech rollers were
less expensive than the west rollers....
I am really glad I decided to try each . I will avoid the caged
rollers in the future!
