I'm looking for a few components for my boat. The high price for new
equipment must have triggered some pioneer in to the salvage business.
Anyone have any contacts?

I haven't seen any marine salvage yards but, there are used equipment
sellers in most towns that cater to sailors. Here in Annapolis, the
place is Bacon and Associates on Legion Avenue. I know there is another
in Ft. Lauderdale and have seen references to others but, don't know
their names offhand.

In Annapolis there is another one. I think it's Ocean Outfitters. They're on
the road that leads to Port Annapolis. I'll check later and if that's
incorrect I'll let you know. In Ft. Lauderdale, it's Sailorman on Rt. 84
near Rt. 1. That's a few blocks south of 17th Ave.

Also check out Popeyes Sailor Exchange in Vancouver B.C. Its a consignment
store and you can buy and sell in CDN dollars (about 2 cents American)
