I hate RV people because they all think they are so darned
special. I've read this group and they all say they won't
dream of staying in a hotel because they are too dirty for
them. They don't enjoy eating in restaurants because they
say cooking and eating in their RV is more sanitary.

What's wrong with these people? Why the arrogance and
why the disdain for everybody else? Why do they put
themselves up on a pedestal and put down those who
don't like RVs because of what they represent - arrogance,
elitism, pollution and disdain for the local economy.

RVers are like rapists. They arrive in town and dump their
sewage and trash and then park illegally along the roadside
and prepare and eat food they didn't buy locally. In other
words, they represent a net loss to the local economy.

They thumb their noses at hotels, motels and restaurants.

What good are they really? I say they are no good at all and
I wonder why they don't understand why people don't like
them.

In all of the messages of putting down why they hate RV people, and
the reasons that they give, you never here comments that either of
them have used any of the facilities that they say the RV people do
not.

Not all RVers pull over at the curb somewhere and try to avoid paying
for a place within a RV camp in towns that they travel through.

Not all RVers eat in their RVs as they state. Some enjoy stopping the
the Mom and Pop small restruatants and enjoy (in more cases) a good
meal.

Do RVers stop at each town that they drive through... No and that is
the same response that they would have to say to that question.

RVers do stop in some towns and get gas/diesel for their RV and that
can add up to between $100 to $400 a pop, so there is money going into
some local town for sure.

About all that I can see from their comments is that they don't like
RV's.

Well i don't like all of their trash they provide on line and for the
most just overlook their comments as overly judgemental on a group of
people who do enjoy using and living a RV life.

Let's see, I just looked at the notes on my lasts RV trip, that took
my wife and me out for 2 weeks. We spent a total of $3,800 for that
two weeks and spent that in about 12 different locations (I guess that
would be towns or close to them for sure). That money was spend on
Diesel, RV camps, Food, Restaurants, Entertainment and etc. Tep, I
guess RV People don't any good for the local economy.

We just returned from an almost two week trip ourselves. We stay at
local campgrounds or state/national campgrounds. We ate out every day
and visited local breweries. We bought groceries locally and plenty of
fuel. Did we stop and purchase something in every town we drove through?
No, but we wouldn't have if we had been traveling in a car.

Debbie,

We are just two of many who each and every time we go out in our RV
for more than just a short stay at a local park are providing
additional economical input to other towns than our own.

I think maybe the disdain that the RV Hater is seeing is his own
reluctance to try an RV or knowing that he can't.

RV's are not for everyone, but for those that have them and enjoy them
they enhance the vacation aspect of trips.

You must be blind it you could not see that several of your points
were mentioned, or you have a very selective sight line and see only
what you want to see.

I'm willing tp bet it's that you see only what you want to see. There
are RV lovers/havers and there are those that don't have and probably
wish they could. I thiink it is time for you to crawl back under what
every slimy rock you came from, from you have a very limit view and
keep repeating your unlogical trash.

This is the last that I have to say for all you do is repeat you Hate.

P.S other must note I agree and have deleted his trash except the last
two lines.

Your entire reply is an ad hominem attack. That you are a
typical *I think I'm so special* RV person is quite clear. Otherwise,
you would have argued the point(s) under discussion instead of
simply resorting to name-calling. That you resorted to name-calling
indicates that you are offended, perhaps because my comments
pretty much hit the nail on the head.

RVers = *my shit doesn't stink*. So they use more than their fair
share of fossil fuels. They pollute the atmosphere more than their
fair share. Their oversized vehicles seem to have a difficult time
remaining between the lines on the roadway. They block the forward
view of motorists behind them. They often speed and are barely in
control of their vehicles, especially in strong cross winds. They
think they are too precious to rent hotel/motel rooms. I've even seen
more than one RV emptying their black water and grey water holding
tank into a storm drain. There they are pulled up to the curb where
there is a storm drain opening. There is a black hose stuck into it
draining their filth into the environment.

Then they have the nerve to say they are too special and too clean
to rent hotel/motel rooms. In other words, they are saying they are
clean and everybody else is germ-ridden and filthy - so much so
that they feel justified in dumping their holding tanks into the
storm drains. Why are they so elitist? So irresponsible?

When they aren't polluting the atmosphere with their drive motors,
they are running generators further polluting the atmosphere with
fumes and obnoxious noise all night long. Their actions respecting
the environment openly shouts - "I don't care!"

Many RVers are openly homosexual and they cruise the campgrounds
looking for sexual liaisons. They have even opened gay campgrounds.
In other words, little Sodom and Gomorrahs spread out over the
countryside.

Sure, there are a few decent folks who are RVers, but, for the most
part, the majority fit the description above.

i feel ya. my dad owns one and i hate it. it cost more than our 45 acre farm with a 2200 sq ft house on it. when it breaks he calls me to try and fix it. there is a reason it cost so much to get one fixed.... because they suck. every time you fart in it it cost $1000. then they act like it has to stay under a cover all the time. i bet if they made traveling garage they would spend a million dollars to keep it out of the sun. for crying out loud it is a vehicle. you are lucky if you can travel 500 miles a day in one. you have to worry about crap tanks and filling water. for crying out loud a fluid change cost hundreds of dollars. it will cost you close to $500 to $700 a day to travel 500 miles in a 40' RV. it will cost me about $200 in my car including gas and motel. given that my car cost less than a tenth of what the motorhome cost. somethings are just pure ignorance.

You are correct, sir. Calling driving around in a big pollution
machine *camping* is a huge lie. It really is nothing more than
vagrancy on wheels by people too prissy, spoiled or *special* to
actually camp.

Here is my list of why rvs suck.

You shouldn't create a bigger carbon footprint camping than staying at home.
RVs replace the peaceful sounds of birds chirping and murmuring rivers for the drone of engines, which ruins camping for everyone.
RVs clog our roads and scenery.
RVers are typical fat old couples w a small dog...the bigger the rv the fatter the guy and the smaller the dog. Guessing he is compensating for something.
RVers barely leave their RV. They come camp but sit inside their mobile living room in luxury, and of course no one needs all the shit they drag into the outdoors.
We build roads everywhere to accommodate people who can't get to the popular spots.

And I'm sorry if this is your parents chance to enjoy their golden years. They shouldn't have wasted so many years raising kids or should have done this with them. No reason now to pollute the environment and ruin camping for others. Next time they get the urge, go buy a dvd of Yellowstone and sit in their living rooms and watch it. Or trade in the RV for a popup or teardrop.

And to those who are so proud to have RVed everywhere, I spent eight months living out of a tent...doing everything possible to avoid RVs every step of the way. RVs just allow people who have no reason to be in the outdoors the opportunity to ruin it for everyone. Sadly thoughRVs way out number tents so campsites will always cater to them.

I don't one an rv but I avoid restaurants because I like my own cooking, it's cheaper and I don't care to sit at a table where a million others have sat. Nor do I trust staff to be concerned with their hygiene or food handling protocol. Does that mean I think I'm better than the rest? No. It just means I'm frugal and have trust issues Ha.

LOL! Tell you what, tell me how many kids you have. Then talk about a carbon footprint. One kid and all the travelling I do, you beat me out by tenfold over a lifetime. So before you spout off at any RV'r, yell at people with kids first if you use the pathetic carbon footprint argument.

But of course, you don't want to touch the sacred "kids" cow do you?

Not once have you given an example, therefore, your attempt to inform is nothing more than a blanket statement, to which has no facts to back it up. I see nothing more than a biased attitude, spreading hate, and that is an example of true ignorance. In any case, there is no need for you to voice your opinion, and in closing, may I suggest that you go find something to do, before someone gets vexatious, and you get your feelings hurt.

Can't help but wonder how you categorize the human race at all. You call people names as if you know what you're talking about. Did it ever occur to you most retired people have medical issues and challenged metabolisms in their elder years that do not allow them the privileges that you indicate are preferable to a motorhome or pickup and travel trailer? How about a family with handicapped members who have physical issues that can't be met in hotels and motels? How else can they travel when flying is not permissible due to a heart condition? How about if being in a different bed every night causes undue stress that starts epileptic seizures? Why do you think your opinion counts toward the people with less health issues who just want to see the outdoors and visit historical sites before they're too old? And I must ask. What is wrong with you? Obviously you have some mental challenges where you believe everyone is the same if they're in a recreational vehicle. Try to settle down and enjoy your life rather than trying to elevate every retired traveler's blood pressure with your unnecessary opinion full of rhetorical bull. And please do....have a nice day and try to stay well regardless of the tastebud issues in your anus.
