Donna,

Sorry to hear of your loss.

I don't think you're going to find a source on a website for a trailer that
old. NADA only goes back to 1986 on their site.

Perhaps one of the dealer NG subscribers can help you. There are also members
of an Airstream club that might be able to help.

Actually, it just might be. There are a lot of people out there who LOVE old
Airstreams and who are ready to spend a few bucks to fix them up.

Whether they're ready to spend a lot of money to buy a 47 year old one and spend
even more to get it up to snuff is another question.

I wouldn't set my expectations too high if I were you, but then, I'm not an
Airstream buff.

Best of luck.

Try a search on the Web for the Vintage Airstream club, or for the Wally
Byam Caravan Club. (I'm sorry that I don't have the URL.) I would think that
an Airstream of that vintage would be valuable if it were solid and suitable
for restoration.

Sorry, but there is no reliable reference for trailers that old. If
it is really in top condition it might be worth thousands to a
collector - if shabby you will be fortunate to get $100 for it. To
test the water, try advertising it with a photo and a high price. You
can always come down.

As an RV it is probably not worth a whole lot. Every appliance in it is
obsolete. As a novelty it could be worth several thousand depending
upon condition. If the body is nice I would price it for $3500 and see
what happens. If the body is dinged up, take $1500 and run.

Regards

Rick

Charles, you're living proof that this is a GREAT, helpful group when people
stick to the subject and leave out the bickering!
