I got a good price at the "Shock Dudes". They
were helpful and shipped promptly.

Try http://www.shox.com/ for prices. Last time I looked they didn't list MH
shocks online so you may have to call them. I have a 95 P30 and a year ago
now Camping World wanted $103 each (plus 20 some dollars each to install). I
paid $75 each plus $20 total shipping. A local truck repair shop installed 4
shocks plus the steering dampener for $60 plus tax.

Did the steering damper make a big difference?
I replaced mine a couple years ago with one I got from NAPA.

I really can't identify a significant difference in handling because I made
several changes: new front springs, new shocks, new steering dampener and
complete alignment. All this was in addition to new tires all around about 6
months earlier. I replaced the steering dampener because it was same
age/mileage (40K miles) as the shocks. Historically GM passenger car and
light truck shocks are gone by 10-20K miles. Overall I'm very happy with the
improvement in ride and handling.
