Where to camp around LA???

I'm looking for a local camping spot (Los Angeles arrea) that meets my wifes
wants... It should have real toilets-no pits, and hiking trails near by.
Beach campgrounds are out (too cold)...

If it was up to me, it would be a sleeping bag and, ground cover, food, and
cooking utensils (tent packed in case of poor weather). I'm a little more
flexible. :)
