What RV club memberships do you folks have? There are quite a few and I am
thnking about joining one of them but not all of them. Wondering if one was
better than others -- or if that was simply an "in the eyes of the
be(card)holder" thing.

Thanks.

My wife and I aren't members of any clubs. Mostly we like to camp at parks.

My inlaws are members of Good Sam, and they seem to like it. I think they
really like the part where they can "charge" their campsite expenses. I'm
not sure how that's any different from using visa, except I guess it keeps
it all in one place.

They also give a discount at some rv parks, but we've never used
that..

A lot of our friends that stay in a different park every trip belong
to passport America.. I guess they get 50% off at some parks..

I just renewed my Good Slam Club membership. I recall I even splurged and got
TWO years (or was it three?). Anyway, I enjoy reading HIGHWAYS magazine that
comes as a benefit of membership. I have camped one night at a Good Sampark -
and was given a 10% discount. (I am still very much a "weekend warrior" and
almost never stay at private campgrounds.)

Heck, I'm a President's Club member at Camping World. I enjoy their magazine,
RV VIEW. I just bought a Honda EU2000i generator for $999 including NO sales
tax OR shipping using my Camping World's President's Club membership so the
membership fee was more than recovered.

I also subscribe to The Good Sam Club's Emergency Roadside Assistance. It has
proven to be good insurance as I HAVEN'T had to use it! [knocking on

Hi Nydia
We joined Resort Parks Intl a few years ago and love it. BUT - to join RPI
you have to have a membership in a park that has RPI priviledges. We bought
membership in a campground in Texas that was really cheap, just to join RPI.
Since then we've stayed at some of the area NACO's (owned by 1000 trails) ,
Western Horizons and some independents both on the WA/Or coasts and in the
eastern side of the states. The parks we've been to have well above average
facilities (pools, minigolf, clubhouses etc.)

BTW-we also live in WA state (Ellensburg)

If you want more detains, just email me.

We received an invite to go to a local membership campground and
bought into it.
My kids are now pretty much grown, but still talk about the great
times they had there. So, it was a great investment for us. It was
just far enough that we felt we were getting away, but close enough
for the last minute-Lets Go!. That campground became a second home for
quite a few years. Plus, we were able to use the membership to camp
all over the country at really nice parks-from California to Florida.
Because we were paying a small monthly payment, it worked out well
with our budget, at the time we paid $4 a night for full hook-ups.
That was a very inexpensive way to take a whole family cross country.
