Is the add-a-room the 1-piece or the 3-piece unit?

Tom,

It is the 3- piece unit that is sold by Coleman. Have used it three
times and will be honest w/ you - unless you are going to be somewhere
for more than one day, it is not worth putting up. I can set up ours in
about 20 minutes but find that the awning alone works great.

Coleman also provides a large duffle bag for storage..

I was asking because setup effort with the 3-piece room is
significantly less than with the 1-piece room. Your Mesa, being from
the 1999 model year, was during the time that some Coleman dealers
were still selling the 1-piece room (presumably left-over stock).

Since yours is the 3-piece room, whoever buys your Mesa won't have to
be fighting with the alternative.

I agree that setting up the room for a one-night stand, even with a 20
minute install & similar takedown time of the 3-piece room, wouldn't
be worth it. Since getting my Mesa & add-a-room I've always set up the
room, but then I haven't done any one-night stands with it.

I find that setup & takedown is more than compensated for by the
privacy for the portapotty and the extra protected space since it
isn't unusual to be damp around here (at least until this year).

PS: The one in the photo with the dog that is currently on the "home"
page of the community is my Mesa at our last outing last fall. We can
hardly wait to head out again this year. I've already got all the
reservations made (and paid for) every place we are going that takes
reservations.

what is the going price for the add-a-room? is the Coleman dealer the only
place to get one?

could not tell you.. mine came w/ unit - my guess is that someone makes
the rooms for Coleman - question is "who". Try Beckley's Camping
301-898-1330. Have dealt w/ them and good folks. The rooms are heavy
so be prepared to $$$ freight.

I don't know what the price is today for a new one, but last spring
when I was pricing options (via the Coleman web site) before ordering
my trailer it was a $470 option. When I got my Mesa last year there
was a promotion going on and it was "free".

OK, you guys are driving me crazy...which picture has with the screen room
and dog??? I've visited the URL and looked at all the pictures and don't
see one with the screen room and dog anywhere! (Not that it's all that
important...just driving me nuts that I don't see what you guys are talking
about!). I do get an error while it's trying to load /page2.html so maybe
it's in there??

Everyone was interested in your screen room, etc. but I'm more interested
in hearing that the allergies will keep you from camping. I'm sure that's a
disappointment, but I'm sure the allergies made it miserable for the kids
too. I'm sorry that you won't be able to do any camping, but maybe over
time you'll be able to try again! Good luck!

Oh, as a side note...I visited your web page and you note in there about
the factory warranty remaining...you may already know this, but you may not
want to advertise that much since the Coleman warranties cannot be
transferred to new owners.

Good luck!

Are you sure you are going to the correct site? The picture we are
referring to is currently at the top center of the "home" page. I say
"currently" because it is my intent to change the home page picture
every month and it is nearing the end of the month. If you don't make
it there before I change it, this particular picture is in the "TomWs
Mesa" photo album (one without dog is at the top of the album and the
one with the dog is currently at the bottom). Remember, the
URL/address/link is the last line of my signature.

Nope, I wasn't! I kept reading the threads, but missed the point that the
picture was on your site...I thought it was on the site that the Mesa
advertisement was listed. Makes sense now! No wonder I was going crazy (it
doesn't take much for some of us)
