Well I went there 2summers ago. I guess it really depends on what your
looking for. It is a very large, commercial campground next to Indiana
Beach Resort. We camped in an open area, July 4th weekend, on an
especially hot weekend, with out a/c. So my experience wasn't the
best. The campground was very rowdy, in fact our neighbors (college
kids?) ended up finally arrested at about 3am. This was the second
night of loud music and firecrackers. The campground and the bathrooms
were clean and they had full hookups. The kids enjoyed Indiana Beach
Resort which was o.k. for weekend (no more). Would I go back probally
not,... maybe, when my kids are older and we are going cross-country
again and need an amusement break, and maybe not. I definately would
not go back if I was just interested in just camping. There is no pool
in the campground. The campground next door is a Jellystone has a pool
but it looked as if all the site were in open space. If you need any
more info let me know.

We live about 60 miles from there. We went down there about a year ago and
won't go back.

The camp grounds were rowdy and loud. No pool or entertainment. There is a
water slide attached to the campground but they charge like per slide or per 15
minutes...something really strange.

We went to Indiana Beach and was totally disappointed. We went to watch a
water show. The announcer came out and said that this will be fun. All of a
sudden two college punks on jet ski came flying out and did a rooster tail over
the crowd. My digital camera, 2 babies, wife and myself had absolutely no dry
spots left on us. I was furious. I went to the office and complained -
basicly got blown off. We won't go back.

John, We've been there alot. Not much of a campground
but your never there because you at the Boardwalk all the time. We have lots
of fun but your set right on top of each other. Hope this helps.
Happy Camping

Indiana Beach Campground is fine for what it is - a place to park your
camper while you visit the amusement park and maybe save a few bucks over
staying in the hotel.
If you go there expecting to camp, you will be disappointed.
There is a review of this campground in my 1999 camping experiences page.

John,
We go there frequently but stay at the Yogi Bear Jellystone. We like and
will go back. Jellystone has things for kids to do like scavenger hunts,
movie showings on their big screen and hay rides etc. Bath houses are great
and the park is clean. Does have a nice heated pool.
Since the park is newer (4th year), the trees are not grown up much, so
there isn't any shade. Other than that, all sites are pull through and they
give you plenty of space, something like 40 ft wide lots each.

I see that others don't seem to enjoy it down there much. We take advantage
of the water slide in the next door campground too. Don't know about the
pay per slide. We paid $5 a head for 3 hours of sliding. Not too bad
especially on a hot day. Mom and me played miniature golf while the kids
got wet.
