Does anyone have any strong recommendations, good or bad, for any
Washington, DC - Annapolis, MD campgrounds?

I recently camped at a regional park called Little Bennett Park in
Clarksburg MD, which is about a 30-40 min drive to downtown
D.C.depending on traffic. I really liked this park. one loop had
electric and it also had clean bathrooms. the rate is $20.00 with
electric.
It is right off off 355 and route 270.

We stay for a five nighter last year at Cherry Hills Park in MD. It's
only a mile from the train station that will take you anywhere you want
to go in DC, and some of the tour buses pick up and drop of at the park
entrance. They have lavish facilities to boot. Of course their rates
are higher than most, but it was worth it, IMHO. Good place to stay,
if DC is what you're planning on seeing. They have a site on the web,
too.

My husband & I have stayed at Greenbrier State Park about 20 minutes west of
Frederick on old Route 40. It has at least 1 electric loop. It also has a lake
for swimming and boating. A really nice state park.
