We plan on spending three days in NYC.. what are you suggestions
as far as where to stay? Outside the city... or in state parks
IN the city?

Thank you so much!

Michele:)

Do you really think anyone would camp in NYC? :) There are no state
parks for camping in the city that I know of. If you find one
please, please pack a weapon and sleep in shifts.
It is a fun place to visit if you have someone to guide you that knows
the city and you like a crowded, bustling place. I love the food and
people watching, but I would never combine that type of vacation with
camping. Two completely different types of getaways.

I too have been looking into camping at a park outside of New York City.
There is a park, I believe the name of it is Black Bear Campground
NEW YORK CITY, New York - About 1-hr NW via I-87 to exit 16 (US 17W), then
13 mi W on US 17 to exit 124, then SW on Hwy 17A, then follow signs to
campground. This is a description from Woodall's - I believe they have a
web site, but I'm not sure of the address at this time.

There is a private campground in NJ just across from NJ, I believe. I cannot
remember the name or city in NJ right now, sorry!
