By the way I tow this with a Suzuki Grand Vitara and it tows just
fine.
Thanks,
Yes, the turnbuckles are for adjustments. The way it worked on mine
is...if you screw in the on the turnbuckle, you will raise the roof.
On my unit, the bolts in the turnbuckle start out with about 3 threads
exposed in the inside of the turnbuckle and then you adjust from
there. Now, what you have to do is determine if the left side is too
high or if the right side is too low (I know that sound weird but
read on...). Look at the bolts going into the turnbuckles. If the
bolts in the turnbuckles for the low side are screwed in about an inch
more than the high side one, then you probably should let them out.
If they are about the same - both sides screwed in just a couple of
threads - then I would probably screw in on the high side. Of course,
you could screw in on one side and out on the other, thus, splitting
the difference. My preference would be to screw the bolts in.
BTW, I found that I got about 1 inch of height change for every 4 turns
of the bolt.
If this was totally confusing, let me know and I will try to provide
more.
Let me know how it goes,
Randy

Underneath you will find 4 cables coming together in a yoke that is
the main cable. Adjusting the yoke will raise or lower ALL of the
corners. There are individual adjustments on each cable to raise or
lower each corner. Tightening up will raise the corner, loosening up
will lower the corner. Adjusting 1 inch at the cable makes a 2 inch
adjustment at the corner, so measure and do it in small increments.
Doing it while the top is down is a lot easier, and definitely safer!
Although my Starcraft is a different model than yours, I think the
concept is the same. You might check to see why there are differences
in height, such as: Did a cable wear through a pulley or something of
that nature. If something like that caused the problem, it needs to be
fixed right away to avoid cable fraying and snapping (ouch!). The shop
that replaced my cables misadjusted one by 3 inches, so I had to
readjust mine. Tom

!!!! I meant '...If the bolts for the turnbuckles for the HIGH side are
screwed...'

!!! I meant '...probably screw in on the low side.' (Thus raising it)
Of
