Before I left NJ last year I'd visited Jellystone. I assume it's the same
one up the road from Six Flags Great Adventure. When we went, the prices
were outrageous since it is a common haunt for campers wanting to be
close to SFGA and for my tastes, the campsites were far too close
together. The people camped there were of the "less desirable" category
when we last visited, of course a lot depends on time of year and we may
have just picked a bad weekend to visit. Please keep us posted if you
decide to go!

The Jellystone in Jackson near Great Adventure is NO LONGER a Jellystone but
has gone back to it's old name (15(?) yrs ago) Timber Lake I think.

We camped there for many years (10-12) and about 7 years ago stopped going. It
was getting so dirty and run down. Bathrooms were a disgrace.
With all the talk of the Jellystone in Elmer we are going to give them a visit
this season.

Hey, Thats a great idea! We've been discussing this in our household, and
right now we are leaning towards Easter Weekend (if they are open). I know
it's not the usual camping weekend, but having ALL the holidays from last year
at our home for 25-30 people, this year I've decided that I DON'T WANT TO COOK
AND CLEAN FOR EVERYBODY!!!! Let someone else do it, I'm going camping!!!!!

At Myrtle Beach, Easter weekend (and the week following) is one of their
busiest of the year, rivaling the height of the summer season. Probably
the first opportunity for northerners (like us) tired of winter and kids
having school vacation time.
