NH Lake Camping

[Bishop]

We are thinking of planning a trip to New Hampshire, preferably,
camping at one of the lager lakes. My wife spent several summers
near Lake Winnipesaukee growing up. Are there any recommendations
of campgrounds there? We would prefer to be at a campground on
the lake. Other lake campgrounds recommendations?

I once stayed at a campground in NH on lake Ossippee, but it
was so many years ago I can't remember the name of it. It was
very woodsy with nice level sites. All I can remember about it
was the location was on the west side of the lake about half
way up.

site. It has a listing broken down by area of the state for all private &
public campgrounds.

Try Lake Pawtuckaway S.P. Many campsites (80?) on an island with
great
views. Ducks wandering around the sites. Hiking trails to a Fire tower.

The other part of the park also has waterfront sites but not as many.
No hook-ups. Clean bathrooms and .25 showers. 30 mins from Hampton
beach.
