Anyone have an experiences with these parks? They are a part
of the W. Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir - North Carolina
Corps Projects in Wilkesboro NC. We want to go up to see
the fall colors but don't want to camp up in the high
mountains, just have a "base camp" so to speak so we can
drive up during the day. All I want is a relative clean bath
house and electricity ( no battery!) Thanks for any advice.

We stayed at Bandit's Roost over the Memorial Day holiday. Some of the
sights are fairly close together but if you're using the place as a
base camp this probably won't be an issue. Overall not a bad
campground. I would suggest going to www.reserveusa.com to make
reservations, especially for the time of year you will be going. Hope
you have a great time!
