What am I missing?
I was in Costco today and saw their "Kirkland" brand
Deep Cycle Battery (made by Johnson & Johnson Battery Co.)
The Pricing was really great..
Group 27 - 125 amphour @ $55
Group 24 - 95 amphour @ 41
and the are on sale for $7 off the above pricing..
Doesn't that seem extra low??? Are they good batteries???

I don't know about their deep cycle batteries, but I've bought
two seperate car batteries from them, and had to take both of
them back.

Sams sells a marine battery for about the same. I'm figuring I'm going to
get one this summer so we can rough it at some national forest campgrounds
this year.

I have Costco automotive (not deep cycle) batteries in the family
car and pickup truck, and they seem to be just fine.

We have 2 automotive batteries and 1 deep cycle. All are several years old
and doin' fine! We dropped off our "dead" batteries there to be recycled.

I've had one of each, type 24 and 27, Kirkland brand, deep cycle, for
my trailers for some time with no problems at all. Be sure you break
them in properly, though. That info can be had at www.amplepower.com
