SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A Shreveport man is behind bars after
police say he sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl on the
campus of a local high school.
Police say the incident happened around 8:20 a.m. Thursday on
the campus of Booker T. Washington New Tech High School in the
2100 block of Milam Street. The suspect fondled the teen near
the school's football stadium.
A school employee witnessed the attack and confronted the
suspect, later identified as 25-year-old Levburton Vickers, who
fled the scene. The employee was able to alert the school's
resource officer, who arrested Vickers after a brief foot chase.
Vickers was taken to the Shreveport City Jail where he was
booked with one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
