Memory was always on the critical path

CPU performance is showing diminishing returns and has been for over a
decade. There arent many algorithms that cant be implemented in O(1)
time using a gigantic lookup table. But RAM has always been relatively
overpriced. What we need is a completely new way of doing memory, so
that we can have orders of magnitude more of it.
