Free Form IRC Based RPG

I would like to introduce you to online free-form RPG. Our realm is based upon the gothic/medieval periods of history. Online RPG is similar to Dungeons and Dragons but does not require dice and does not use all of the tedious rules. Learning is easy and all that is required is a character and a strong imagination.
In order to begin, a person simply creates a desired character in his mind. Characters can vary greatly depending on what you wish that character to be. Players may choose from many "classes" (profession) such as; fighters, knights, wizards, clerics, assassins, spies, etc...just to name a few.
Once a character's "class" has been decided, one has to choose a "race" for that character. One can be nearly any creature from myth or lore, such as; vampire, werewolf, dwarf, elves, and even some types of dragons. Then, upon entering a RPG chat room, the player begins to interact with other RPG players as if he/she was that character. The player becomes that character, complete with all of that character's history, special abilities and/or unique physical attributes.
Our realm is divided up into countless "clans", each with its own home page, members, ranks and chat rooms. The primary reason our RPG groups tend to be more fun and stable, is the fact that nearly every clan follows a common set of rules and guidelines for everything, from battle to marriages, from the politics of a clan to diplomacy between clans. The Black Robes are just one of the many clans that interact with each other on a daily basis.
Members within these clans are given ranks which symbolize that character's status among his/her clan. These ranks are quickly recognized and somewhat respected by members of the various other RPG clans. Advancing in rank can be quite easy (even for beginners).

We welcome everyone who wishes to join us. If you think you may be interested in joining, we are currently seeking members and we still have plenty of high ranks available. For those that are new to online RPG, all efforts will be made to help those that are truly sincere in learning.
