I've played all but two in one form or another. Let's see, most
addicting games.
Robotron 2040 (SNES williams completion)
Diablo (PC & PSX)
Krynn Trilogy (PC)
Prince of Persia (SNES)
Legend of Zelda (NES)
Lunar: SSSC (PSX)
Time Splitters (PS2)
Metal Gear (NES)
Theme Park (PSX)
Ogre Battle (SNES)
Final Fantasy Tactics (PSX)
Crash Bandicoot (PSX)
Milipede (NES)
Zombies Ate My Nieghborhood (SNES)
Star Fox (SNES)
Ultima 7 & 7.5 (PC)
Ultima 4 (NES & PC)
Toe Jam and Earl (Genesis)
Shinning Force (Genesis)
Ms. Pacman (SNES)
Mega Man 2 (NES)
Three Stooges (NES)
TMNT (Arcade)
All I can think of right now.
<snip>
Golf and football (that's soccer to some of you) outdoors.
Elite then Diablo indoors.
I've left out the most addictive indoor AND outdoor 'game'. 'nuf said.

Yah, some ppl would be offended at calling it a game... they take it waaaaay
too seriously. :)
Funny that, it's supposed to be fun but there are those who are way to
obsessed with it... so much so that the fun is gone and all that is left is
the conquest or the tally mark... I think they're missing the whole point,
but who am I to interrupt the dance of the two backed beast?
..........
Starcraft. Oh hell.. about 2 years of playtime ;)

I couldn't pick a single most addictive game.

1. FF3 (I refuse to call it "FF6", it was released as FF3 in the states, so
that's what it's called) - SNES
2. Alone in the Dark - PC
3. Resident Evil 2 (AOTD ripoff, and the sequals afterwards were crap, but
still a great game). - PSX
4. Breath of Fire 2 - SNES
5. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - SNES
6. Earthbound (I've literally played this game 20 times, fully through. I
LOVE it) - SNES
7. Aliens vs. Predator (I LOVE Arcade emulation!) - Arcade
8.Diablo (Great game, sequal sucks) - PC.
9. Half-Life (Revitalized the FPS genre.. screw Quake and its repeatetive,
boring gameplay.) - PC.
10. Super Mario Bros (Anyone who has not played this doesn't deserve to play
a video game, EVER) - NES/Arcade
11. Megaman X (Come on, there've been about 3682634868 Megaman games, all
exactly the same, yet they -never- get boring.) - SNES.
12. Counter-Strike (This is my currently my most favorite game of ALL time.
Not to mention it's a mod of the best FPS game there is...)
13. Super Metroid (If you haven't played this, you suck.) - SNES.

In a somewhat chronological order:
Zeliard
Mechwarrior I (the one that ran on XTs)
[The Evil Heart Of] UUkrul
XCom 1 and 2 (they are essentially the same game)
Master of Magic
Diablo 1
I guess this makes me a Microprose fan:
3 games by Microprose (XCom 1, XCom2, MoM)
1 Game by Activision (Mechwarrior)
1 Game by Blizzard (Diablo)
1 Game by Broderbund (UUkrul)
1 Game by unknown author (Zeliard).
Nikita.
PS: Doom does not make the list of the games I was addicted to. I love it,
I still play it, but I was never addicted to it.
PPS: I have that idle dream that someone will remake UUkrul with modern
graphics, sounds, spell effects, etc. It was such a good game, although
quite unbalanced in the monsters' favor. I had a program that could crack
the game so that you had unlimited mana (unlimited spells!) but even with
that help completing the game was far from trivial.

O YEAH!
For me, it's a tossup between Dransik and Utopia.
I've been playing Utopia a year now, and it's still interesting and fun. I
never know when I'm gonna logon to find I've been attacked while you were
gone. The feeling of revenge as I get as I then systematically destroy the
person who attacked me is worth the land I lose from the attack. :)
Dransik I've only played about 4 months now. It's been free since I
started, though it's going to become $6/month pay-to-play a few weeks from
now. It's a great little top-down RPG in the style of Ultima 5, only with
the incredible coolness of being massively multiplayer. The community
rocks, too. It's small, but very close-knit.

I have two games that really addicted me.
1. Sim City 2000.
2. Diablo/Hellfire (and mods).
Both of which took most of my sleep away from me for the better part

Last night, I just felt that same feeling of addiction again. Lord
Help Me!! I don't have the time to play Black & White and leave sleep
behind.
I sat down last night at 8:00. OK, going to play for an hour. When I
looked up because I had to go to the restroom, it was 1:00 AM. Ouch,
4 hours sleep and off to work. I have only done that with two games
above. I'm scared, I wasn't even *really* playing the game, I was
experimenting with the tribe in the God's Playground.

Hehe, Black and White is a great game. Two more weeks of school(counting
this one), then it's spring break, and I'll spend most of spring break
playing it.
Ok, I've never really been addicted to a game very much. Usually I'll play
through them once, then lose interest. I have a short attention span.
Diablo/Hellfire -- played them more than any other game I have.
Deus Ex -- I couldn't stop playing until I beat it, haven't played it since.
Black & White -- looks like I'll be addicted to it. Tons of fun!!!
He's not all that hard. A bit tricky, but with the emergency life
container thingies, fairly do-able. The weapon to use is the rolling
shield I've found. Actually, are you sure it's the last boss? I
mean, if you haven't beaten it...
*grins*
But that dog is SO easy if you've got the fireball. Right off it
jumps over you onto the wall, you shoot the fireball towards where it
leapt from, and it jumps back in the path of the fireball, and bam!
It's finished.
I had fun once with the fireball and VILE. When you first start
fighting him after he captures Zero, I just kept shooting the
fireballs and he couldn't get to me. Unfortunately I couldn't beat
him either. I think I managed to keep it up for a minute or so
though. ;)
So yeah, Add Megaman X to my collection. And Megaman 3 too perhaps.
That was pretty good too, (and the only other Megaman game I had, hmm,
now to find it as a ROM ;) ).
ARCHON!!!!!!! (Without all those exclamation marks)
That was a great game! I got a C64 emulator and it to play on PC.
It's a bit trickier without a joystick though. Unfortunately, I don't
think I have it anymore. Hmm, another one to try and find sometime.

C64. It was made by Electronic Arts. Not called Battle Chess, had a

Eh? really? I don't remember him being that hard, you just need to use
charged up tornado and then your normal blaster or somesuch. I
haven't played that game in a long time. Getting all the energy tanks
and things that increase your life helps too.

Didnt it just rock? Have you tried using the NES type joysticks for
it?
Yeah, Sigma, with his wold pet. I can kill the wolf, but by the time I get
to him, my tanks are empty and I've got two notches of health
Most addictive? D2, and D1 before it. Close runnerup- Half-Life and
Team Fortress Classic.

When you don't know what to do, walk fast and look worried.
Ouch... you have to do it twice, minimum. Trust me. I'm on trip number
fourteen or something insane like that. <g>
If I carried it out more, yeah, it's definately up there, but it doesn't
compare to the amount of time I've poured into those.
For me, it's definately my most played game in terms of years... I've
been playing it since 1996 or so. But in terms of accrued time, I
think it is not the top because I tend to get bored and not play a
pbem for a year or so, etc. I've always come back to it, though.

Ahhh, then in that case, I don't think you would want to use Rolling
Shield. Sigma is hacking you up with his sword right?
And you are using shotgun ice on the wolf/doggy right?
Only got a NES type joystick for my NES, (Which actually, I don't have
anymore), and for my SNES.
But yeah, it rocked. I think I actually managed to kill a dragon once
with my knight! And the phoenix was fun to use, but require skill.
But the best one I found was the unicorn/baslik. They moved fast, had
decent hitting power, and didn't suffer from such a long recharge time
like the dragon and djinn did. The Wizard and Sorcer(ess?) weren't
actually too bad, but I tended to just leave them where they were.
I used to like teleporting a unicorn across and taking out their
basilisk, followed by their dragon, and then the sorcer(ess?), and
then sit on that power point and let them come to me.
I actually found Archon 2 or 3 for the emulator, but never managed to
get into it. Not knowing what was going on probably had a bit to do
with that.
I've rambled enough I think.
Anyone else played Space Ace or Monty Mole, or even Potty Pigeon?
Suicide Express maybe?

I used to teleport the Uni to the "king" spot and win in one move.
The Uni/Basilisk were the best pieces on the board. I remember taking
out the Djinn, Snake, Phoenix in only a few hits cause of reload time
and also due to quick shooting ;-)
Uhm, you couldn't do that. Power Points are Proof against Magic. At
least they were in the version I played. And you'd have had to get
the other power points too.
