Newbie Brown Sugar Question

[Gerry Hatrick]

In 1971 I bought the Brown Sugar single in the UK. Sounded great! Some
years later I had said single stolen so I bought another copy. Is sounded
different somehow, with the sax a lot louder in the mix. Was there a mono
mix when the single was first released or is this just my mind playing
tricks and there's only one mix?

Also, first pressings of the US Hot Rocks had a slightly different mix
as well. Has a few nice licks by Mick Taylor that wasn't on subsequent
pressings.

Yes it was the 3 track single. The end of BS also featured a gruff sounding
voice after the closing drum break asking "all right?" just before the other
voice said "yeh". My later copy only has the "yeh" on it.

The track the OP refers to is the MONO single mix.
