I just bought Opeth's new CD "Still Life." I noticed that track 6
(Serenity Painted Death) cuts off rather abruptly near the end.
The track listing says the length should be 9:14, but my copy ends
at 9:09 followed by a four second pause before track 7. It definitely
doesn't sound intentional. Has anyone else with this CD had this
problem? I got the same results on three different CD players.

Same thing here. For me it sounds intentional.
