you're playing three notes on one string, then sweeping over to the
next string, rather than alternating to the next string? Is that the
entire point of it?
But uh, everything you play certainly isn't played in ascending or
descending notes like that, so it's got to be somewhat limited?
So should I rememorize all the scales and modes so that they're three
notes per string, then beginning practicing sweeping them?
Or am I wrong and gay?

Huh?
You DON'T just use that technique for everything you knucklehead. You
must use ALL techniques. I just use it when I want to make fast
phrases. And I also use alternate picking too when going for a fast
phrase. So, it's just up to the sound you want to create and the
attack/dinamics you want. You CAN'T have sharp dinamics with Glissando.
You can't get that overpowering Staccato sound with it. I combine it
ALL not just Glissando, I do use alot of Glissando but I also use alot
of Staccato and alot of Legato and alot of Circular Picking and...you
get the point?
And EVERY technique except for the Vibrato is "limited"!

How about learning subtraction and addition? Did you memorized it or
you just hoped it'll come back to you by luck when doing math? I don't
know! I thought the point to learning something new WAS to memorize it
so that you can never forget it and put it to good use later! What do
you think, maybe?

Couldn't you just have said "yes" and saved all the energy?
I've been doing it to some scales recently, and that shit is good!
Using 3 notes per scale also lets me easier see how the modes are
related and how I can move between them.

G gets used ALL the time! I use both Glissando AND Staccato within a
phrase. Could be a 6 to 12 note phrase and I would use both techniques

notes into a beat with no problem then you can do all those things and
other seemingly impossible ones too! fuck
