I am interested in acquiring a copy of Metallica's "Garage Days
Revisited" album. Note that I am not referring to the 1987 release
entitled "Garage Days Re-Revisited". If you have a copy of "Garage
Days Revisited" and are willing to sell it, or if you know someone who
does and is, would you please e-mail me (not respond by a public post)
at 'rpu...@unibase.unibase.com'. Thanks.

Fuck yeah!!!! I heard this once, and had it stuck in my head for 6 MONTHS
before i found out which album it was from!!! My _all time_ fave Metallica
song! Who sez they gotta play fast to be heavy?
"Look hard at the darkness
and you will see..."
I gotta go crank this again!

I love "The Small Hours" too. In fact, I think I like almost every
cover Metallica has ever done. I think they're very good at taking
other people's work and making it kick ass.

So what is by the Anti-Nowhere League (in 1981). It's on the Sad But True
single.

I have So What on my copy of Garage Days Re-Revisited too. I also
have it on this album of live covers that Metallica has done called
Total Destruction. There's a track with Metallica playing So What and
also a track with the original band playing it, Anti-Nowhere-League (I
think.) Both tracks are a lot better than the one on GDRR&More.
They're a lot faster and have a lot more energy, although Kirk kind of
messes up in the Metallica version and James forgets some lyrics.
The version by the original band is definitely the best I've heard. I
think this song was definitely meant to be sung by someone with a
British accent :-) . And the singer starts out by saying "Right, we're
gonna due a number they fucked up from us... And they haven't fucking
paid me yet!" That's just awesome.

It's not on the real GDRR, it's the b-side of Sad But True.

That version isn't from Anti-Nowhere League, it's actually Animal (their
singer) playing with Metallica. It's taken from an old Fan Can video,
which also has Am I Evil and Helpless with the original lineup of Diamond
Head.
