Okay, sorry if I offended you... now who is meant? Looks like that the
question should be no problem for you to answer it.

Thanks in advance,

Sven.

In my opinion, I think this song has to do with any kind of addiction....be it
drugs, sex, food, etc. It's like James is saying that there is something that
has taken control over him, when in fact it is himself you know? It's like
whoever the addicted person is, they kind of break into two personallities like
Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde. One has control over the other, yet they are the
same person. And in this song, to me anyways, it seems like he is talking to
his "evil half" if you will, telling him that he needs to be free.

Does that sound stupid?

Replies welcome,
Eye

Maybe by the line "Just when all seems fine and all pain free, jab
another pin in me" it might mean something like, just when you think
everything is going good in your life, something is there right around
the corner to screw it up again, etc...yeah

I take it to mean a psychiatrist or therapist: "Tell me, can you heal
what father's done? Cut this rope and let us run......." The
therapist's probings and questions are like pins "jabbing" into the
past, etc etc...........

Yeah, like the refrain with the "can you heal what father's done". But
all in all it just sounds like it is irrelevant what you achieve, you
always get kicked in the ass. But you never should give up. Or at least
you try it.

But of course you can interpret the lines very differently. It's
difficult.

greetz,

Sven.

James gave the meaning in METAL EDGE.
The song is about VOODOO.
Here's what James said:
"I always wanted to write a song about voodoo. You put XXX with ash on it
and then your make a wish, and it happens or whatnot. It kind of
intrigued me. It's also envisioning us all as voodoo dolls and someone
else is controlling us. Everything's going great and all of a sudden a
pin sticks in ya and something goes wrong. Life's a struggle."

Fixxxer is a song about Voodoo dolls and such. I don't think theres any
reference to a god in it anywhere.

Dolls of Voodoo
All stuck with pins
One for each of us
etc etc

Just when all seemed fine
And all came free
Jab another pin
Jab another pin in me

Drugs or booze, actually. The three X's refer to moonshine, or alcohol
which was illegally distilled in the U.S. bootlegging days.

they're talking about this guy that kirk saw on the bus once on his
way to the supermarket, and whom he fell in love with!

I can see that. Jaymz lyrics have become more varied in interpretation since
AJFA. Now that the music is more about him than how fast and heavy can we
play.

The voodoo dolls are a metaphor--for what, I don't exactly know. But if you
look at the verses and the chorus together, it's pretty obvious that the
song isn't about voodoo dolls.
