genuinely. It's also a long post because I reposted some old stuff. *Yay

This is a brief explanation of why so many people hate you. Note, this
is not the end-all in answers to the "Why do you hate me?" question, nor
do I speak on behalf of all people everywhere. I simply am regurgitating
what I've seen and trying to make some sense of it.
Like I've said before, WebTV is a GREAT idea in theory. Like AOL, the
desire to make user-friendly and inexpensive internet access is a noble
purpose. There are some great and wonderful things to be seen and
leanred from the internet. <blank stare, straight face, facade crumbles,
breaks down laughing like a loon>
In practice, however, it can be (and often is, in my experience) the
embodiment of all things stupid and assinine.
Like I said recently in another post, computer experience alone teaches
humility, patience, and respect. That, unto itself, causes many a
computer user to religiously maintain some few specific netiquette
guidelines, like quoting replies, not posting/sending huge bianary
(anything that isn't text) files in non-bianary newsgroups [just because
*YOU'RE* accessing this newsgroup at high speeds doesn't mean EVERYBODY
is, and, because you're in the minority, it'd be nice of you to respect
that], respecting both the "shift" and "capslock" keys, trimming
replies, realizing that newsgroups are for disucssion and non-moderated
newsgroups don't HAVE to be on topic, etc., etc., etc.
These things are fairly simple, easy to do (even though you'd hafta
manually copy/past messages for quoting) and make *EVERYBODY'S* lives
easier.
Now. I'm sure a few of you have heard me mention the Great Pink One. The
Holy Pinkness is the Anti-WebTV. In the heat of this a-cursed summer,
the Great Pink One did INSPIRE me to spread the word of the Pink One!

I have often read your posts in this NG as well as others in the Iron
Maiden NG. While taking your entire personality into account, I have
come to the conclusion that I really don't like you. You are an angry,
obnoxious, bitter, self-loathing guttermouth that hasn't a clue on how
to act like a lady. You would like nothing more than to drag others down
into the bottomless pit of misery that you are presently falling into.
Misery does love company -- go and pull out your Black album and have a
close listen.
But leaving my disdain for you aside, I will reply to your post and the
reasonable points that you brought up. As far as WebTV goes, I will
admit that a fair portion of users tend to disregard certain standards
such as cutting and pasting. Why? Probably because many are not aware
that the feature is available.
I will also admit that a certain portion of WebTV users tend to be
troublemakers and downright buffoons. However, there are many who use
the various "illustrious" providers and also turn out to be idiots, or
in your case, raving lunatics. There are, however, many even-keeled,
intelligent WebTV users out here. A few rotten apples don't have to
spoil the bunch.
It does often seem that WebTV users are not as intelligent or as sharp
as other users. Why? Maybe not everyone had the education that other
fortunate people have had for starters. Maybe because of this lack of
education, some people have to work minimum wage jobs to support
themselves and the low cost of a WebTV unit is their *only* alternative
to a computer. Why should a lack of money restrict someone internet
access? Maybe, D. Mentia, we aren't as fortunate as you to have a
computer sitting in our houses.
The internet in general is a real pussy way out. You can say anything to
anyone and not have to pay the piper (which in many cases would be a
broken jaw). You yourself have harnessed this safe road and turned the
net into some sort of medium or soapbox for your strange persona -- a
persona that obviously was rejected somewhere along the line by real
people in real situations.
In regards to your Pink and Bunny references, I haven't the faintest
fucking idea what the hell you are talking about nor do I really give a
damn. If you think that all NG readers follow your ways of life, or even
give a third of a rat's ass about your philosophies, you are sadly
mistaken. I remember a while back I followed the link to your homepage
after reading one of your bizarre posts and I learned that it was only
the tip of the iceberg. You seem to surround yourself with an array of
freaks and dickless wonders (one of which I believe, if I remember
correctly, allows you to place degrading signs on his back). Maybe these
people that kiss your ass and tell you that you are great have polluted
your mind. Get this straight -- you are not original, you are not
brilliant, you are not a thought-provoker, you are not funny, you are
not witty. But you certainly are: miserable, pitiful, lowly, angry,
depressed, but to an extent, fairly intelligent. It baffles me as to why
one would use half a brain to engage in your mindless activities. So you
can continue on your path and insult WebTV masses, or anyone else you
come in contact with because most likely, nobody really gives a shit,
including myself. I have used WebTV for over two years now and will
continue to do so. I have personally found it much more enjoyable to use
than a computer.

Why are you insisting that I said that WebTV is evil? I really wish I

$5000.00 pc's to post in ng's. You might as well get used to all this tv
internet stuff, because like it or not it's here to stay. No longer will

Webtv doesn't waste their time with language in non-moderated
ng's. It is NOT a violation of their TOS.I know this because i have
already been through it with alt. gothic. If you don't believe me, give
it a try(ab...@webtv.net). Please post their response when you get it ,
so all of us awesome webtv'ers can have a big ole laugh,maggotboy.

Anyways dude, *I* don't care if you stay or go, I'm certainly not
going to get you kicked off your connection, but webtv DOES have gay

uhhh, I stated that wrong! :-) I_knew_ it was the racist shit! The
racist _language_!! :-) But that isn't a good example, however their
TOS is very gay and the swearing CAN get you booted, just you (nor I
nor _most_ would report you for it). My whole point of webtv being gay
kinda got mired down in the details. Oh well fuck it, everyone knows
it sucks anyways!

Tes dick would be the most usefull part for any normal person, but since

Usually webTVers and others new to NGs have MIME or someother crap in
their posts like HTML, but you don't and I think that's cool. :)
I figure your choice of software switches has something to do with that.

Poor? I am using a system that cost me less than $500. And the monitor was
$350.
The thing is, dopey, whenever I see the words WEB TV in the header, I know
for a fact that the rest of the post will be in ALL CAPS and contain NO
content.
I have only ever -EVER- seen maybe one user of WEB tv who actually wasnt a
dickhead. It's like you sign a contract obliging you to act as immiture and
