I have just bought the Australian release of the new cd...yeah, yeah..we
are only a couple of decades behind the rest of the world....and I love the
cd!!!
Yeah Blaze is no Bruce..but I like his singing.....I think the whole cd has
a great sound.
I know people will run me down and all...but Im like most here...a long
time fan at 30 years old I have been a fan since i was 16 or so.....and I
love all their albums, even the ones people bag. I personally fin somewhere
in time to be ordinary compared to the rest. XF took a long time to grow on
me, but it did and i love it...however with VXI I was hooked from the word
go......love the clansman, lightning and 2 worlds. My only criticism is
how the hell didn't anyone in the band realise that the angel and the
gambler was just TOO REPETITIVE???? I had heard the short version and
wondered why everyone complained...then I got the cd and found out why.
Didn't Blaze ever say to Steve..."I'm a bit sick of saying this same line
over and over and over and over and...."
Didn't the guys listen to the end result then sit around staring at each
other...burst out laughing then make a decision to edit it???
obviously not...
UP THE IRONS AND ALL THEY DO!!
Bruce's AOB is also as good as anything maiden has ever done.....instead of
whingeing and comparing, we should all just be thankful that we have 2
great bands producing CD's.
I hope Maiden make it down under!!! haven't seen since Powerslave! Hell I
was still in high school then!!!! Single!!! No kids!!!! lots of
pimples!!!!!!!......etc

I couldn't wait for the Australian release - I got mine on import several
weeks ago. It would be great if they made it down here, I'd even fly to
Sydney if I had to. Last time that's the closest they came to our neck of
the woods.

You got that right. It occurs to me that we ALL have a great thing going,
it's almost like having TWO Iron Maidens to listen to. What a great world that
