I decided to post this rather than email, just because of the low volume
on the group. Why not?)

I've got two boots (there are tons of them...looks like everyone who goes
to a Maiden show in Europe must bring a tape recorder, or something.

"Home Sweet Home" Meltdown Records ML91604
Rec. at Monsters of Rock, Donington, 20 Aug '88
1991 cd

Tracks: Moonchild, Prisoner, Wrathchild, Infinite Dreams, Trooper,
Heaven Can Wait, The Clairvoyant, 7th Son, # of the Beast, Hallowed be
thy Name (Clairvoyant, Prisoner, and HCW are the same ones released on
the Clairvoyant single)

"The Prisoner" On Stage (Sarabandis srl) CD 12060
Rec. at the Palladium, NYC, 1982
1993 cd

Tracks: Children of the Damned, # of the Beast, Prisoner, Hallowed,
Phantom of the Opera, Run to the Hills, Wrathchild, Sanctuary, Drifter,
Iron Maiden, Murders in the Rue Morgue (A much bootlegged show,
since it was broadcast FM)

Thanks

Just one question about this one. I've heard about it, and although
I've never actually held the CD in my hands, I was under the impression
that "Iron Maiden" was the last track on it. Again, since I've never
seen the actual CD, I don't know for sure, so please do correct me if
I'm wrong. As of now, we have 5 shows in the "database" (yes, I know,
very humble beginnings). :)

Thanks,
Max :)

You can hear bruce introducing Iron Maiden (You know "The Iron
Maaaaiiden..." but the song's not on there, the cd just ends. I think
it's pretty cheesy. It's only 60 mins long, it wouldn't have killed them
to add another 3 min. Also, another thought, maybe you want everyone who
sends you info to "grade" the boots, like from F to A+...might be helpful
if it's in the faq. I know the place where I buy boots has a shitty cd
player, so it's hard to tell when I listen to them in the store. The
word of other maiden fans would go a long way, I think.

Deth to Beth, Up the Irons, etc.

Sure, grading would be fine. :)

Ok, I already did something similar for my private use. Think it's time to
let you share the joy :-)

What follows is my Iron Maiden bootleg list. The list is compiled from the
information on my own boots, bootleg dealer lists, Hot Wacks entries and
info from this list. I already included the two boots that Fear posted,
including his comments.

The other comments are from myself and Steve Garcia (Hi Steve!, hope you don't
mind me posting your comments :-)

I used the same layout as the Jethro Tull bootleg list.

As you can see, the list is far from complete (that's the reason I never posted
it till now). I really don't have the time to complete (and maintain) it, so I
hereby give it to you. Use it, change it, complete it, do as you wish.

If you are interested, I have a directory structure (under UNIX) and a script
that generates this list in both ASCII and HTML.

Success :-)

--The IRON MAIDEN Bootleg CD Detailed Review Guide--

Version 0.1.................................March 1994

* fill-in the xxx's

* rate everything...

Note: this file is intended to supplement the Maiden Bootleg CD Quick
Reference Guide, which provides a brief overview of most known Maiden boot
CDs. That list is arranged roughly by date of the performances on the
discs; this list is arranged alphabetically.

Since new bootlegs are released at unpredictable intervals, these documents
will seldom be totally comprehensive. Please send news of new releases to
the InterNet address above.

The P/A category indicates whether the CD was mastered from a "Pro" or
"Audience" source. "Pro" sources include radio broadcasts, soundboard
tapes, etc. "Audience" sources include tapes from recorded by people in the
concert audience.

The catalog numbers are provided for help in identifying discs, since
sometimes catalogs & ads have the titles incorrect.

The sound category is a rough estimate of the quality of the recording
based on amount of audible tape hiss, clarity of the mix, etc. Note that
all other things being equal, audience recordings are generally much less
clear than pro recordings, so an audience CD with a rating of 10 might be
really great compared to other audience recordings, but still not nearly as
nice as a pro recording with a similar rating. Here's a rough guide:

10 = Perfect sound. For pro source discs, a rating of 10 means it
rivals the quality of official live CDs.

8-9 = Quite excellent. Probably worth buying.

6-7 = Good, but not great. Lots of hiss, or a poor mix, etc.

0-5 = True garbage. The music is barely audible.

This show isn't from Tampa Bay, as it states on the cover, but from
the date above. You can hear Bruce talking about it and how cold it was
the night before. Plus, they wouldn't play that set list in Tampa Bay
(because they always cut some songs when they come to America) and also
he says if the fans enjoyed Donington, and IM toured America before
Donington. [Steve Garcia]

Wow, Rob, thanks for that post! I'll definitely take up this list, but I
think I may restructure it a little. In particular, I may put all the
tracks separated by commas so they don't take up as much space. Also,
we need some sort of way of knowing what is a CD bootleg, what's an LP,
and what is a tape. Finally, we definitely need a list of credits for
people who've contributed stuff.

Thanks,
Max :)

P.S. Would you mind e-mailing me those scripts you mentioned? Thanks!

No problem. Do as you wish.

These were all CD's.

Thought I would mention this. I picked up a CD at a local
used Cd shop, instead of Good Bye Bruce, its titled Bye Bye Bruce
it was made in Italy 1994. Same play list. Back of CD says
Recorded Live in Europe during the Bruce Dickinson's Last show with
Iron Maiden 1993.

The list of songs of the back has several mispellings and title alterations

1. Be quick or be dead
2. The trooper
3. Instrumental
4. The Evol, (That) the man do
5. Hallowed by thy name
6. Wratchild
7. From here to Eternity
8. Fear of the Dark
9. The number of the beast
10. Bring your daughter to slaughter
11. two minutes to midnight
12. Run to the hills
13. Iron maiden.

The cover is the same as described above. The Center spread of the Cd

Says live Storm in large letters and then there is a lot of writing
in Itialian. The back of the insert has the members listed onthe right
and a picture of Steve on the left.
the Catalog # on the spine is LSCD 51509
