Heya guys!

This weekend me and my girlfriend are planning to go to
London. I've heard on this newsgroup a couple of times
that Steve Harris has a pub or something in London.

I'd really like to visit this place, so if someone could
be so kind as to tell me whether it really exists en if
so, where I could find it (never been to London before,
so some indications as to where it is would be greatly
appreciated!)

Thanks a lot,

Job Kelderman

I'm not really sure here but since no-one else has said anything yet...
I think Steve has a pub or something but not in the UK, maybe Portugal or
somewhere like that in Europe not far away from the UK. Or it could be just
a holiday house or something. But I can't recall him actually having a pub
of his own in the UK anywhere?

I'm not sure that a keg of Schlitz and a can of Pringles sitting in the corner
of his basement qualifies as a "pub".

Steve does have a bar but it is his "private" bar at his house
its called the horse & Cart (something like that, if you turn the name
its the same name of the first pub Iron Maiden ever played in).
you should visit the real Cart & Horses, and the ruskin arms in London.

I think Glenn is right, actually. I remember an interview made by a french
magazine in that pub in Portugal. There where even photos. If I can find
some time I'll try to search my archives.

He's built his own pub on the side of his house. There's also "Eddie's Bar",
which is (as you say below) located in Portugal. Steve owns that place too,
it is apparently a great place for metal fans to meet up, have a beer, and
check out lots of cool Maiden related stuff (bits of old stage sets etc).

I've never been there, but I've got a magazine with a big(ish) artical about
it. Looks pretty cool to me.

This pub was on Headbangers Ball somewhere in 1993 (march / april) when
maiden rehearsed there for A Real Live tour (farewell tour of Bruce). They
didn't rehearse in the pub of course. But they rehearsed in Faro, and got
interviewed in this pub that Kelderman probably meant, by Vanessa Warwick.
The news that Bruce would leave the band was still very fresh at that
moment. Some interesting interviews with all guys in the band. Especially
Janick was devastated.

The interview I've got is not Warwick's. I can't remember if it was done at
the same period. I'll search my magazines tomorrow. You'll have to wait to
know. :o)

Magazines? I have it on video. A television-interview. I taped it from MTV.
It was Warwick, believe it or not. I am talking about MTV's Headbangers Ball
(MTV Europe).
I have seen Headbangers Ball quite often and I sure know if the interviewer
is Vanessa Warwick or not.

You're talking about something else, so I don't need to wait for your
research.

???
er... I think there's a misunderstanding here. I never said Warwick didn't
made the interview. I only said - and still do - that I have in one of my
magazines *another* interview made by a french journalist in that pub in
Portugal.
Didn't found the time to search though...

Cheers
