Actually, someone who was praising AoB's lyrics said this about the lyrics
on VXI, and I said I personally feel it to be more true of AoB. After
all, what songs on VXI, except for maybe WTWC, are scare stories?
> I'm sorry to say that I totally disagree. Bruce's songs such as
>Freak, Starchildren, Welcome to the Pit, and Accident of Birth were not meant
>to be scary stories.
AoB features songs about the end of the world, genocide, and mutant
freaks. I have a hard time believing Bruce didn't intend them to be
scary.
> If you would take the words for more than face value you
>would realize that he is talking about how he doesn't believe in God anymore
>because god let him down
>in his life(jesus had his day off when they pulled you
>through).
I'm curious about something: if Bruce doesn't believe God exists, how
can he claim God let him down?
>These lyrics are the words of a man who has become disillusioned
>with life(who leads you to the dark secret). I am the lyricist in my band, and
>i absolutely hate when people think you're satanic just because you question
>god.
I agree with you totally. I never accused Bruce of being satanic.
