I met Axl July 3, 1998 at his house

talked to us for a little while saying that he was in the middle of working
out, and she said that since my girlfriend and I had traveled for 4 hours
looking for his house she would ask if Axl Would say hello, and sure enough he
came down the drive way, (same one in the Estranged Video)and opened the gate.
He was so nice, he had his trainer with him, and he answered any and all
questions i had on the news of GNR. I got a photo with him and he signed my Use
your illusion 2 cover. He had a bandana on, but his hair was short. He has
gained weight!!! Muscle, not fat!!! He looks good and healthy.
He said GNR hopes to have something out by this coming summer!!

I really hope that your story is true because it is a good one...I'm glad to
hear Axl took time out of his day to meet you. I got to know Slash when he
was working on his Snakepit album, and the rest of Guns when they did "Sympathy
for the Devil" and they were all really nice guys. Especially Slash and Duff.
I remember sitting there one night watching Letterman when Slash was on and I
heard someone sit down on the couch next to me and I looked over and it was
Axl.
I can't wait to hear the new stuff, but I am bummed that it's not the rest of
the band.

Only a few minutes ago, Rose, sprawled on the floor of his Las Vegas hotel
villa, mentioned his lack of privacy. Now, as if to prove his point, someone
knocks on the door. Rose gets up to answer it, peering out into the darkness
to find two breathless, carefully made-up fans who've somehow breached Guns
n' Roses' security.
"I hope you know we went to a lot of trouble just to say hello to you," the
first girl says. "I'm only here because she dragged me here," says the
second. "I'm not a very big Guns n' Roses fan or anything."
Given Rose's reputation as a hothead, the predictable reaction would be
irritation -- or at the very least a wry, "see what I mean" smile. But Rose
greets the giggly pair like a homeowner welcoming a group of
trick-or-treaters. He invites them in and, smiling, begins asking them
questions: Do you live here? What are your names? How did you find out where
I was? As the story unravels -- it turns out the two posed as call girls to
extract his room number from a tight-lipped hotel clerk -- Rose seems
genuinely charmed, as do his visitors. They stick around for nearly an hour,
and Rose is the perfect host -- cracking jokes, offering them dinner, even
laughing off their occasional barbs ("So, are you going on on time tomorrow,
or what?"). By the time they leave, they've been made to feel as if it were
the most natural thing in the world to barge in uninvited on a total
stranger.

I went to Axl's house, and the house keeper came out. She was real nice and
said that Axl got in from the studio real late and was still sleeping, it was
about noon. We said cool and left....

during a night out to dinner and what not, and right when you think most
people would be pissed, esp. someone w/ the reputation Axl has, he turns out
to be the friendliest guy... so yes i think it sounds true. And I say post
the picture..... If he didn't want his pic around, he wouldn't take them, esp.
from strangers or fans. Anyway, any recent picture is going to flatter his
image than his latest "arrest" photo!!
