Cannibal Corpse. Or, if he was set on leaving, he at least should
have gone to a better band. CC is musically far superior to Six Feet
Under, who seem content to repeat themselves to death (a.k.a.
Lycanthropy, from Haunted). Six feet Under is made up of members of
Obituary and Cannibal Corpse, but, not suprisingly, is not even close
to as good as either of those two bands. I wouldn't give a piss and a
penny for Six Feet Under's future, where as Cannibal Corpse's future
looks brighter than ever with George "Corpsegrinder" Fischer taking
over vocals.

Six feet under was supposed to be a side project when it started,
which is why it was so shocking to me when I found out that Chris was
leaving CC. As far as I know, Obituary is still as together as
they've ever been, so I can't imagine the Obit guys treating Six Feet
Under as anything more than something to do in their spare time.
That's another reason Chris made a mistake. What if the Obituary guys
decide to go back to their original band? Then what will Barnes do?

Chris Barnes never chose in his leaving of Cannibal Corpse. He was
fired!!! Cannibal corpse is and always will be the mastermind of Alex
Webster. If I recall he makes most of the decisions.
Chris Barnes was kicked out for two reasons I have heard:
1) Cannibal Corpse feeling that Chris' approach to vocals was to limiting
and wanted to bring in a newer vocalist to get the sound they really
wanted.( This is the most reported reason I have seen outside of the
internet)
2) Chris Barnes was supposedly stealing money from t-shirt sales etc etc
etc (a reason I have only heard on the internet)
Chris Barnes had no choice in leaving. He isn't making any mistakes. he
wants to continue in the field of music and is making Six feet Under a
full time thing.

Barnes did not leave...he was kicked out by the rest of the group for
"musical differences". Six Feet Under is not a side project but a permanent
thing.

Allan West isn't that great of a guitar player...you're right on that -
but a friend of mine that lives in tampa said he did guitar
clinics!!?????? WHY???? always has plays the open low D string....
new C.C. is cool as shit. I like it, vocals are cool, music is fast as
shit but sometimes the riffs get boring. The riffs are pretty technical
in a "BRUTAL" way.
Guitar players I think are cool are Chuck Schuldiner, Paul Masvidal, James
Murphy, Jeff Wu, Bill Steer, Marty Friedman.
