...for me it was a classic, the carring of Angus on Brian´s shoulders. I
really miss that part of the show, don´t you?

Bon did it first, Brian would never have done it otherwise....

Geordie was Brian Johnson's previous band. Bon supported them with his band
Fang in England. Brian used to be carried around on stage by Geordie's
guitar player. Bon used to say how impressed he was by Geordie's shows.
Figure the rest out yourself.

I think our high AC/DC librarian and litterature student, mr. Trekkie,
hasn't noticed his typo yet... hehehehehe
Although GeorIDe is quite suitable for this thread...

Hang on a minute in a previous post you said...
'Brian carried Vic Malcolm when Fang supported Georide. Bon would never have
done it otherwise'
and now you're saying Brian used to carried round by Geordie's guitar
player, which is it??

and when and where did Fraternity and Geordie appear on the same bill?
(hehe, I knew what you were talking about really!!!)
I'd be interested to know as I thought I knew but the dates don't work
out...

DirectConnect hubs - ac-dc-boots.no-ip.info or 158.38.88.73
quite possibly the largest collections of AC/DC boots you'lll find anywhere
on the web available for free download....

A librarian who doesn't notice typos. How embarrassing!

Brian carried Vic Malcolm. See p. 62 in Putterford for a picture.

Fang (as Fraternity called themselves at the time) did a couple of gigs with
Geordie. I don't know the exact places they played except that they did a
gig in Hull. I've seen the ticket stub for that one myself.

Damn, I can't believe I missed it, I've read the book 3 or 4 times...
pg 109 of Highway To Hell: The Life And Times Of Bon Scott clearly states
than Bon's brother Graeme reckons that Bon got the idea from seeing Brian
Johnson carried his guitarist on his shoulders. The books states that they
played Plymouth and Torquay together, which is on the South West coast of
England (nowhere near Hull which is sort of North East England) this was in
April 1973.

I haven't got the ticket stub myself so I can't check, but I think it was
Hull, but my memory isn't was it used to be when it comes to 'DC trivia so I
can't be sure. The stub was from the gig where Brian suffered from
laryingitis (sp.) and was rolling around the floor screaming in pains. And
Bon told Angus later that he was really admiring the singer in that Brittish
band who was rolling around screaming the songs out!
