I ended up going to Walmart instead of BestBuy 'cause my kid needed some
cold medicine. So I picked up the Blue version of the cover. It's the only
one they had one display. For those who caved and bought the different
ones, is there any difference on the interior artwork? Otherwise, it's a
pretty blatant collector's marketing ploy. Even if there is different
marketing, I don't think I'll buy a different version. Maybe if/when this
one gets too beat up.

And they have some of the catalog for $10 Canadian, some of the more popular
(BIB, Live) for $12. But I just got the remastered versions a few years ago
and haven't worn them out, so no rush for me.

Finally, the CD sounds a little better than the mp3 versions I got, but not
enough for me to worry about having ruined the "purity" of the experience!

You're just now figuring this out?

So you got the Deluxe Edition? I did too. I didn't realize there was a
fourth option...the white cover.

I picked up replacements for several albums that have been damaged in
recent months (LTBR, HV, TRE). Lowest prices are $7 for Fly, Flick,
TRE, BB, SUL. Highest is for BIB, which is I believe $9.

I have a question for those of you who live in Europe and Australia.
Are your remastered editions the original releases in your country or
are they the U.S. editions?

In particular, did they release remasters of the original Dirty Deeds,
TNT, High Voltage, Let There Be Rock and Powerage with all the
original songs?

I went to Walmart this morning at 12:01 (yep, I was one of those guys)
and bought each of the 3 regular versions (I pre-ordered the deluxe &
lp from the online store a month ago). Aside from the front cover,
there are no differences between the 3 versions. The back cover, disc
artwork, booklet & even the tray liner are all identical between the
three. I've yet to get my deluxe copy in the mail, but have seen some
scans of the booklet which has a few additional pictures and the
lyrics to all of the songs.

The different covers are nice and all, but I had at least expected to
have different artwork on the discs. Oh well, now at least I won't be
wondering which version was better than the other two.

Wow, and I was just about to challenge somebody to publicly admit they
bought all three. So, just out of curiosity, what exactly does one do with
three copies of the same fucking album?

Sits on the shelf and gathers dust with the rest of my stuff I guess.
Fits in fine with the 8 or 9 copies of Back in Black I have.

I asked the department manager in my local Tesco Ireland if there were any
differences internally, according to the different colours (red, yellow,
white), and he didn't know, so he got the security malarkey off them, and he
and I went through them all, to find they are all identical inside....so its
just a case of pick your favourite colour ;o)
