Yes, you have some very valid comments. There is a photo of I
somewhere, there is an official picture of II, and nothing of III as
it was never really complete or left the garage, but provided much
information for IV.
There is a site for Blazer which I could link to but not for the
Canadian Steel Sandwich but I have pictures of it grabbed from the TV
programme as he was an opponent, although we never really came into
contact (I swear that he must have driven out of the arena only to
come back in at the end once we had lost to Typhoon to claim the
second qualifying spot).
The parts for IV, fitted and unfitted were put on accurate scales
yesterday. I had estimated at 50 kg plus or minus 2 kg. 46.7 kg
without circuitry (about 47 kg together) was a very good surprise. All
that would be missing is screws (for wheels) and paint.
Seeing IV up on its wheels, it looks like how I wanted II to be. It is
a lot lower (with a hump over the gearboxes) and narrower as these
gearboxes are moved slightly more inboard. We look to now be lighter,
more heavily armoured and with 50% more drive power.
Blazer does look good though and may get a further upgrade to the gas
flipper in response to the idea of a 6 kW opponent.
