The Official Melrose Chatter's FAQ
(Maintained by Ro London)

Q: What is a Melrose Chatter?
A: Melrose is a telnet chat haven, thus, a melrose chatter
is one who chat's in said haven.

Q: What is a chat haven?
A: A chat haven is a place where you can have (meaningless)
conversations 24 hours/day. Melrose is (usually) in real time
so it's a very fast-paced, pub-like atmosphere.

Q: Why do you post in this news group?
A: Because none of us are smart enough to start our own, and
since this one is not occupied...

Q: Do Melrose Chatters post topics related to 'Melrose Place'?
A: Absolutely not.

Q: Do you people talk about 'Melrose Place' when you chat?
A: Absolutely not.

Q: Why do you call yourselves Melrose then?
A: To lure newbies into the haven.

Q: Why would you want to lure newbies into the haven?
A: To play cruel and unusual jokes on them, of course!

Q: Where do Melrose chatters come from?
A: All over the world, but the main language seems to be English.

Q: How many chatters are there?
A: Many, many participants; however, this news-group is for the
die-hard Melrose chatters. See the Who's who posting.

Q: What is a Who's who posting?
A: It is a list of all of the Melrose regulars. You can find it
posted in this news group.

Q: Where can I find the FAQ?
A: It's right in front of you.

Q: If you have a chat haven, then what is the purpose of this
news group?
A: Well, not all chatters are there at all times. Some mostly
chat at night, while many only chat during the day. This is
an excellent forum to reach and leave messages or post
pictures to anyone at any time.

Q: What type of posts are exceptable?
A: Seeing that Melrose is mostly just spam anyways, if
you are a Melrose chatter, anything goes.

Q: Can a non-Melrose chatter post here?
A: Yes, under these guidelines:
1) You are a chat havener somewhere else.
2) You have a specific question about Melrose.
(NOT the freakin' show)
3) You are a good looking female in the Baltimore area.

Q: Where can I direct any questions I may have?
A: If you post your questions with no response, then contact:
ade...@charm.net , or at Melrose talk to 'Ro'.
