Linux products biggest money earner this Christmas for electronics retailers
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Somewhere around 14 million+ Linux gadgets gets sold EVERY DAY.
Linux is in everything. Flat TV, printer, IP Webcam, set top boxes,
freeview receivers, digital radio, MP3, 4, and 5 players, HD recorders,
HD players, DVD recorders and players, routers, NAS devices, netbooks,
tablets, digital photoframes to name but a few.

To improve on these Linux gadget sales, take an inventory of everything
with Linux inside (get a Linux geek to do this - its not easy to know
what each and every electroncs gadget has inside) and then if the
majority of the income is based on Linux, then you know you got a job
on your hands to re-orient the company to fully engage money making
Linux products. Firstly kick out the appol and micoshaft products that
cripple cash flow or not produce as much return as say a big flat TV.

Then concentrate on adding extra features to every product that contains
Linux. For example,
could your cooker do with an Android Linux tablet built into the top
of the range models? Basically have the phone and browser integrated
into the cooker? If the answer is yes, then get your product specifiers
out there specifying what kind of products you are interested in
buying from factories and let the take the strain of building the
gadgetry that you demanded.
With all the practical manufacturing expertise in China, it would take
just a few days before you can visit and see a mock up and/or the real
thing. These days, everything is cut with lasers, so its quick to design
in a new feature, get it cut and add the tablet and voila! Its done!
Brackets, screws and attachments are easily purchased. Within a few months
this unique product could be in your shelves and selling. All thanks to
Linux. Thanks to Linux you can make even more money.

Once you got experience of incorporating Linux,
get even more products with Linux inside and pack your shelves
with Linux embedded gadgets that sell and make money than any other
competing OS.

Eh? Looks like you are just a new sock operator that forgot all
the previous sock operator knew!!!!!!

BWHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAA!!!

DFS is just an appil/micoshfat funded sock puppet and troll.

And it looks like you forgotten you are a troll again.

Trolling, asstroturfing and advertising
on behalf of your employer is not protected
under free speech rights even in the USA.

Unethical trolling and asstroturfing is illegal
and criminal offense in most countries including EU,
except America if it is funded through charities.
Most US politicians and businesses
are so corrupt and reliant on trolls and trolling
and so fund it all illegally through charities because
funding through charities is untraceable
through loopholes in US law.

Asstroturfer offerings
----------------------

I've just read the contents of the fbo.gov solicitation RTB220610

The US government wants asstroturfers and with it sophisticated
asstroturfing technology to drown out democratic free speech,
and then hide from those whom it seeks to victimize.

It was point no.3 that caught my eye:
0003- Static IP Address Management

What that means is the same as what I've been saying for a while about
doofi, flatcake and clog are true.

They are not individuals but a whole asstroturfing team
behind each sock puppet.

There isn't enough memory between the sock operators to know
or remember what had been said earlier so you know the
conversations are being typed out by multiple individuals
impersonating each other.
It was notable gaffs by the goofy doofy sock that first gave it away.

The asstrotufing teams had already gone into government and offered them
consulting services about what technology and asstroturfing
practices were out there for fbo.gov to decide what they will
purchase in solicitation RTB220610.

conventional online services and social media platforms.
The service includes a user friendly application
environment to maximize the user's situational
awareness by displaying real-time local information.

0002- Secure Virtual Private Network (VPN).

1 each VPN provides the ability for users to
daily and automatically obtain
randomly selected IP addresses through
which they can access the internet. The daily
rotation of the user s IP address prevents compromise
during observation of likely or targeted web sites
or services, while hiding the existence of the
operation. In addition, may provide traffic mixing,
blending the user s traffic with traffic from multitudes
of users from outside the organization. This traffic
blending provides excellent cover and powerful deniability.

to manage their persistent online personas by assigning

organizations that frequent same site/service often to
easily switch IP addresses to look like ordinary

Probably a minor nit, but what's the working definition here for
"money earner"? Is this alluding to simple gross receipts, or does it
intend to address profit margins? Afterall, it does a business little
good to take the risk of manufacturing/distribution/sales if there's
not any real net profit at the end of the pipe for them.

And Supercomputers and I think some digital cameras, too. Ironic that
real desktop PCs weren't mentioned, though. :-)

Except that those devices have already been converted, so why do
this? If your objective is to grow adoption of Linux, wouldn't it be
far more logical to find the applicable products that _haven't_ yet
been converted over?

> ... and then if the majority of the income is based on Linux ...

And within this "IF" assumption lies the rub.

Even with a full-blown desktop PC, we find that the difference between
a Windows OS one and a Linux OS one doesn't result in a huge
difference in retail price. As such, the "majority of the income" is
clearly not from these soft bits, but their hard bits.

Granted, digital products do need to have some brains, which really
reveals what the adoption of Linux in these appliances has really been
all about: it is a convergence from splinters of proprietary in-house
control systems into a common one, with the primary appeal being that
it is cheaper because it was offered up to industry to adopt with no
licensing costs. That lowers their overhead expenses and allows them
to compete better in their _commodity_ markets. The other edge of the
sword is that this same adoption of the same 'standard' also reduces
their business profitability opportunities for success through product
differentiation.

The classical "computer in the kitchen" example uses the refrigerator,
not the stove, with the premise of offering an inventory of what's
inside it.

Of course, this has been promised for 30 years and it still hasn't
taken off, probably because people don't relish the idea of scanning
their milk carton each time they put it in & out of the fridge, even
with an RFID tag: how does the system know if you poured one glass of
milk versus two? And good luck in having the system figure out when
the vegetables go bad, or to input leftovers :-)

Yet another assumption declaration.

When it comes to appliances, the only time that anyone gives a damn
about "what's inside" is when a manufacturer comes up with something
that has meaningful product differentiation from the competition,
which makes consumers willing to pay more for it, which is what drives
profit margins.

The business of business isn't to promote any one technology over
another: it is to figure out ways to make a profit. As such, Linux
(and all the rest) are merely tools towards that end.
