Quality Assurance Specialist - QA Software Testing Specialist
Responsibilities · Evaluate and provide effort estimates for testing activities · Create test plans · Apply single-sourcing principles according to departmental guidelines · Test the accuracy and usability of documentation · Write and edit end-user documentations for AgileFlow Property Tax Manager product suite · Edit product and system documentation for users · Interview product specialists and devlopers about products and requirements · Write and edit marketing material and responses to RFPs as required · Perform additional testing, writing, editing and user training tasks, as needed · Travel maybe required
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent directly related working experience 5+ years of experience software development and testing. Excellent verbal and written skills Research and interviewing skills Keen eye for detail Good analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of Products Experience in VS Studio; knowledge of .NET, C#, C++ would be an asset Experience in Report Creation would be an asset Understanding of Windows 7 desktop platforms would be an asset Prior consulting experience would be considered an asset Prior Geographic Information Systems experience would be an asset Prior Land Record Management System experience would be an asset Prior user interface development using .NET experience would be an asset
Skills:
Expertise with developing in house tools to automate problem detection, simplify repetitive tasks, and consolidate multiple information sources to aid in troubleshooting and fault detection/isolation Excellent analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting and decision making skills. Clearly document ideas, requirements, results, feedback and other information in an organized during a project lifecycle. Goal oriented to achieve tight project deadlines through self-motivation, persistence and determination Cheerful client communication and consultancy skills The ability to work in a team and as an individual Superior ability to adapt in a fast-paced and rapidly changing business environment Solid knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLC, SDM) and quality management system methodology Cognitive flexibility enabling you to adjust and adapt between various tasks, projects and ever changing priorities.
