After Jesus' birth, NO ONE in the Bible ever celebrated Jesus' birth.
Not his apostles, nor any of his followers. None, zero, null.

The story commonly starts out with the 3 wise men following a star.

So who were these "wise men"? The Bible calls them Magi (magos) and
doesn't tell how many. Some religions say 12.

What were the Magi? One thing they were is ASTROLOGERS. Astrology was
condemned in the Bible. (Isa 47:13,14)

Another was pagan Zoroastrian Persian priests and sorcerers and
workers of magic. Also condemned in the Bible. (Mal 3:5)

You forgot my first three words. "AFTER JESUS' BIRTH". Those people
were AT Jesus' birth. His next birthday would be 2 years old, then
3,4,5 etc, to adulthood. NOBODY ELSE CELEBRATED HIS BIRTHDAY! NO ONE!
Not even his closest companions, his twelve apostles.

God wanted pagan astrologer sorcerers to attend His son's birth? No
way. Would you want Devil worshippers attending your child's birth?
Where God came in the picture was when He sent and angel to make that
announcement to the shepherds. THEY were the ones sent by God. Not the
astrologer sorcerers of magic.

that the Lord Jesus was crucified to create in a man surrendered to Him.

to the core of my being and was "cleansed of all unrighteousness." Now,
it is over for me; it is finished. All my heart unquestionably belongs
to God; there is no more any spiritual prostitution with the fallen

The source for the child's account for the guy in redd is based on a real
prson. St. Nicholas was a bishop who lived in the 4th century. He was
bishop of an area now in turkey.. A bishop's red vestments at some time in

stories of him. The shorthand name St. Nick" was spread" beginning then.

His appearence was fixed when in the 19th century and the first part of the
20th century his image was used in marketing.

James does not believe that all sin is calling God a liar, and so he is
happy to remain in a "constantly sinning" state and religion. There is
one of the earthly things that people won't believe.

Thus, 1 John 1:8. And another example is that sin is a lie, and a person
denies that they lie.

Permit me elaborate, please: Paul was speaking of his present state, but
he is only referring to his physical state in regard to the law of sin
and death upon his body, the body of death. In Romans 7, Paul is dead to
the old husband and is delivered from the law and free of it, but his
physical body is still under the curse, or decree. "Thou shalt surely
die," as we all are.

So, as you know, that is why he can say...

Rom 8:1  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in
Christ Jesus, who walk not [do not] after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Rom 8:2  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me
free from the law of sin and death.

Free. Free = [do not]. Free and free indeed.

He might have to yield to the physical body's commands, but he is not
bound by them in his spirit. Or, like this: the world forcefully demands
I love it, but my heart has chosen to love God.

I have to qualify something here: obedience, as in God's standard, is
not the same as man's standard. God's standard is salted with grace. If
a man disobeys, that is not the end of the matter because God examines
the heart, tries the reins, and sees if that disobedience is the end of
the matter. That is like the son who initially said no in his heart but
later said yes and went and did what his father told him to do.

Only God can see the end of the matter and what is obedience unto life
and what is not obedience unto death.

It has been a wild ride of spiritual truth this festive season, let me
tell you! And there is more to say about the Lord Jesus Christ being the
Father. I hope I can find the time to post it today.

You see how silly things can get if you misinterpret. Paul is 'free
from death' in the sense that he will live forever. That final second
death (the lake of fire) will have no hold on those who walk in "the

The conscience of man speaks to him, if he listens, of doing what was right.
Add to that understanding the Mosaic Law of God, it only served to confirm
what was in the heart of man to do. Yet, they had not the inside power to do
it, and so they would fail at times, even knowing that they should not do it.

which says,...

“Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.”

That is how you were shaped, and still live. Your mom, in her body of sin,
conceived you. Yet a small child does not have knowledge of their sinfull
ways until they are of age, the age of accountability. Which may vary in
years between one child and the next. And I, for one, can remember the first
time I told a lie, and knew what I did after I did it. I finally understood
what my parents were trying to show and teach me reading lies. At that point
I knew sin.

You don't listen. All you do is white-knuckle grip your religious

You need to trust Him.

Oh, for goodness sake, despite the fact that you don't listen but in
hope: what you and many others do not understand is that God not only
limited Himself exponentially by coming in the flesh but He also forsook

He drove a stake of separation into Himself and it was extremely
painful. Remember God is "us" and has always been "us" but for the first
time in eternity He placed separation in Himself...for us.

He is much more glorious than any one of us can imagine.

There is nothing in those verses that say it was past tense only .
Paul was speaking for everyday. You are adding your own beliefs to the

The Catholics back then did not go by the Bible. They went by church
teachings. They told our class that reading the Bible could drive you

The best translation JW's use is the latest revision of the NWT.

Tetragrammaton is around 7000 times in the OT. Yet, MOST Bibles have

You are way off. Many translations on a particular verse say THE SAME
THING, just word it a little differently. I many times compare it to
the NWT and see if it says basically the same thing. AND MOST DO. If

But I do use 'the correct translation' when it agrees with the NWT.
For example:

But you asked a good question. If I believe the NWT is the best
translation out there, why don't I always use it?

I did at one time. But I kept getting ridicule on the truthfulness of
it. Too many people listened to false stories about its alleged
errors, and that make the conversations difficult. So I focused on
mainstream translations that said the same thing.

Jesus ransom has removed the guarantee of death caused by sin. We now
have the opportunity to live forever under paradise conditions.

Obviously the apostle John meant by "walk in darkness" a person who
willfully sins all the time. He WALKS in it. For example, a male who

churches in that region. He wrote to the Christians in those churches.
He knew them well and he loved them. He thought of them as his own
family. So he spoke to them as if he was speaking to his own children.

John was speaking to those people present before him. He was NOT
speaking of people in the future!

Concerning John 20:28:

Yes, the apostle John records Thomas as saying that Jesus was his
"God". Yet three verses later, that same writer tells us that Jesus is
not God, but "the Son of God". (vs 31) And not once in the Bible did
Jesus ever say he was God. So what is the meaning of Thomas' words
recorded by the apostle John?

And did Thomas really believe that Jesus was Almighty God? Let's see.

Thomas was present when Jesus prayed to his Father at John 17:3 and
Jesus called Him "the only true God". Four days later on the day of
his resurrection, Jesus told Mary Magdalene to relay a message to his
disciples (which included Thomas). Thus Thomas would have heard Mary
relay Jesus words at John 20:17 "Do not hold on to me, for I have not
yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them,
'I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your
God.'""

Thus Thomas knew that his God was the God of Jesus and his Father was
the Father of Jesus. Not that Jesus was Almighty God.

"The Father is greater than I." (Joh 14:28; NIV)

Thus John never believed that Jesus was Almighty God.

gave man an immortal soul. But is that what it really says?
