TOPEKA, Kan. � A federal judge in Kansas has dismissed a lawsuit by an atheist soldier who claimed his rights were violated while he was stationed at Fort Riley.
Army Spc. Dustin Chalker and the Military Religious Freedom Foundation sued the Department of Defense in 2008. U.S. District Judge Kathryn Vratil ruled Thursday that Chalker failed to exhaust all available remedies before filing suit.
