I saw pictures of your young ones. So very cute.

Let there be no more harsh feelings between us.

Guard them well. Keep them safe. Comment responsibly.

I'm going to take this post at face value, despite my initial
reaction.

Yes, my children are beautiful. They are worth more to me than
anything. I guard and keep them safe. But, please. Leave my children
out of the discussion of my postings. They are not connected.

Here's the thing; I don't believe you did curse WT. I feel these
things have been brewing before you ever came along. You don't abandon
a hammer because it bends a nail.

Ren is always trying to claim that he magickally caused
things he had nothing to do with.

It's a technique used by many cheap magickal con artists.

Ren's curses are impotent. He has cursed myself and others
many times and nothing ever happens.

He's a fucking _clown_.

What if someone locks your hammer in their toolbox and you don't have a key?

You take the toolbox by the handle and beat it against the ground
until it breaks, then get your fucking hammer. :D

Or, get a locksmith. Now, if the toolbox were wired with explosives,
encased in cement and thrown into the Atlantic then you'd need diving gear,
a drill and bomb-defusing experience, (plus a little luck).

And that would be abandoning a particular hammer once it became an
inconvenience. ;>

I was just keeping to the analogy. There is also a difference between
discarding a hammer when a nail bends, and not investing thousands of
dollars into a diving expedition, training for bomb defusing, and
purchasing (or possibly developing) deep-sea portable drilling
equipment... for a thirty dollar hammer. If we're applying logic, then
logic must be applied, by definition. :P

True, ee were both pushing the analogy, albeit in slightly different
directions.

Yes, a difference in convenience. If the 'hammer' was important enough,
(not a commonly replacable hammer), to outweigh inconvenience then it could
be seen as reasonable to go to unreasonable lengths to retrieve it. This is
where the analogy gets pushed beyond utility, (and into the Altantic).

Indeed. Consider though, the potential for growth involved in the process
of the diving expedition, learning bomb defusing methods, etc. which may
outweigh the monetary costs involved, (similarly, college students often pay
enormous sums for a degree which they fervently hope will lead to
potentially greater gains).

Now try that out as a metaphor for what ren is doing.

Fair enough. However, my toolbox is forged entirely of plate steel
that has been heat-tempered and flash cooled to harden it. :D

My tool is small but there are many gadgets to compensate. Wait. That
is a terrible analogy.

Wow!
A brand new shiny untainted Year?
