That's from the Cloud of Jewels sutra, found in the Mahayana
texts of the Pali Canon.
A Bodhisattva is a person destined for enlightenment, who
postpones final attainment of Buddhahood in order to help living
living beings.
Jesus was another great teacher of magick. His teachings have
been horribly distorted, like those of the Buddha.
Beliefs are spells. These are the words of Jesus from the Bible.
Mark 11:23 "For most assuredly I tell you, whoever may tell this
mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and doesn't doubt
in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening; he
shall have whatever he says."
Mark 11:24 "Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and
ask for, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them."
Matthew 7:7 "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will
find. Knock, and it will be opened for you."
Matthew 7:8 "For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds.
To him who knocks it will be opened."

You are confusing terms. You usually do in between plagiarizing. The
word, magick, was coined by Crowley. It is far more specific than even
the Crowley fanatics imagine. Buddha used Fourth, not magick. Christ
also used an altered form of Fourth but you are misinterpreting the
scriptures that are at best very poor translations to begin with.

Well. I'm not discussing either religion, for starters. And that's
quite obvious.
But considering that Wicca/Paganism is really just Christianity in new-age
clothing, a bunch of empty and entertaining rituals that are based
on fictional myths and snippets of various 'pagan' religions, I suggest
that you tend to your own garden.
It is full of weeds.

Thanks. We're all in the same boat. Either that or we're in different
boats experiencing waves from people in another boat.
Many people don't realize that each person (whether Buddha, Jesus, Ghandi,
or some bum on the street who said something oddly wise) is just explaining
the world in their own view. They're not religions. Just something to help
people figure it out. So those who automatically assume that by mentioning
Jesus or Buddha, we're trying to convert people to Christianity or Buddhism,
it just shows how much they need someone else to spoon-feed the truth to
them. They aren't willing to take the responsibility of believing something
without someone else telling them it's okay to believe it, first. Quite
frankly, that's the mark of a cowardly mind.

Desperation to find reasons to criticize is a challenging rut to get out of.
I think people become so used to others disagreeing with them that it feels
like being "me against the world". One discovers something amazing inside
themselves that relates to the universe, and they want to explain it to
others to hopefully get feedback from others who are experiencing the same
thing. When I went through that phase, it was mostly in hopes of finding
others who had some of the same ideas. Responses ran the full breadth of
possibilities. Some said I was obviously a very old soul, very wise. The
other extreme was that I was a total lunatic in need of permanent residence
insane asylum, totally beyond any hope of mental recovery.
But that I can post what I feel honestly, be called insane, yet know I'm
harmless, permissive, a lover of the cloistered lifestyle with bouts of
asceticism thrown in for wild flings through mental ravings just leaves me
having the adventures in the mind that I cannot yet have with this body.

You are asking me a lot of questions. Do you really want to know, or do
you just want to insult me? Why do you need to jump right to the name
calling Sid?
My reason for asking you is this: I found some comfort level with
another practitioner and she wanted to exchange work. I have been up to
exchanges lately, and went with an open mind.
But she said something that bothered me, that comes from a more Buddhist
sort of belief (maybe not a true Buddhist belief, but a belief that I
hear from some that practice a more Buddhist lifestyle. Maybe it is a
true Buddhist belief, I don't know.)
It had to do with how to get rid of negative or hurtful energy.
My take on it (and it might not be the right take, it is just different
from the other persons), is why let there be negative energy or hurtful
energy. Why not nullify it, or unmanifest it, or just turn it into
energy that someone can make use of in a positive manner, or give it to
God, or something that doesn't make a cess pool of energy that can hurt
another (especially hurt the Wild: land or energy we exist in, or any
animals and plants involved?)
Her method was to wipe the energy onto something else, like a stone or
flower.
Since I believe (and have seen it work) where healing land and animals
and plants is similar to healing a person, I thought "if this energy
isn't good for a person, why rub it onto something else", especially if
she believed that this stone or flower then would hurt another person if
they touched it?
Why not then at least make it nourishing to the land or the flower. For
instance, like manure is yucky to me, but good for the land. Or how
Carbon Dioxide isn't good for us to breathe in, but can be good for plants.
If this method of energy exchange is used, it can be beneficial for all
involved. Therefore, the plant can thrive with the energy given and you
thrive for giving it to the plant, and you can give the plant to someone
else to thrive for both the plant and person involved?
Why create harm.
Her answer was "well the plant is part of God and this is its nature to
take pain and hurt from us."
My thought on that is that "we too are part of god, and it is our nature
to take pain and hurt from others." Does that mean that after a healing
I should rub my hurt, anger or pain on the next person that goes by (or
her? If she wouldn't do it to herself or another person, why would she
do it to another? I see this very much like how some people of the
Incans healing rub animals like guinea pigs onto humans, to remove pain
and infection and illness on the guinea pig then takes on the harm.
Why do that to another living being? Why hurt its soul/spirit or karma
in that way?
So I was stuck with.. do I want someone healing me or working with me,
improving something in me, if it will cause harm to another because of
how that person heals and discards of energy?
It was a question of ethics that came up within me.
And I came here right after having the interaction that bothered me, and
I asked you why you were cross pollinating between religions?
I don't have anything against knowledge of different religions and
spirituality. I have had a lot of great things happen because of
interaction between Buddhist beliefs and Christian happenings and my own
spirituality. I have “cross pollinated” myself.
But it doesn't mean that some of the great "Truths" necessarily get
translated in ways that make them useful or meaningful or of the same
continuity of "Truth" when it is taken out of context.
So you have my meaning/reason for why I wrote what I did about "clashing".

I didn't think so. But her teacher taught her this (as well as others)
so she assumed it didn't hurt anything. She didn't think to ask this
question or question her teachers.
I can't say who is wrong or right, but if it is harmful, then this type
of action/teaching/thinking does bother me, and makes me wonder how many
people practice this type of work because they were taught to do it this
way?
Where I saw the Buddhist connection (besides her own) is the non action
sort of mentality and the thought that "it might be harmful for me, so I
will give it to another, but I won't investigate further because it is
all an illusion that I am hurting another therefore it has nothing to do
with me and I will carry on with what I am doing because it works for me
and makes me feel better."

Anyway, the last comments (last post that I just wrote) wasn't why I
wrote the first post.
We all have different values and ethics and our lives are about living
within these ethics and values, having them challenged, changing on
occasion etc.
I realize I can think differently than other people. I am not really
worried about people having different ethics. I just wanted to know why
Sid was writing what he was writing, because of the strong reaction that
I had to the other person. I realize that Wiccan's might believe
differently than I did/do, but there has to be some major belief
differences between Wicca and other religions.
Sid seems to be coming from a different belief/religion than Wicca.
So Sid, why are you here? Are you wanting to change how Wiccan's believe
and practice? Are you trying to figure out why they practice or believe
what they practice and believe? Do you believe your ways are better (it
seems that you do)... but why be here? Do you just like posting "you
suck, your garbage stinks, you do everything wrong" type posts? Is your
major concern to have interesting discussions or do you just like the fight?
You seem to care about Wiccan's but more from perspective of what
Wiccan's are doing wrong.

I agree (I think. It seems my ability to communicate and understand is a
bit hampered today).
There are some beautiful ideas, but some ones that really don't make any
sense to me.
I am understanding more and more the difference between being zen and
thinking about zen.
It is harder and harder to talk about these things though.
I used to wonder if I belonged here because I had so many questions I
wanted answers to. Was I helpful in that state?
Then I wondered if I belonged because I felt that I had some answers and
perhaps they were not adequate.
Then I had a bit of protectionism going on or a need to motivate through
words.
Now it is like.. "What is there to talk about"? How do we talk about it?
Most things feel resolved to me or are not important. All I have left is
action, not talk (which surprises me). Or I feel "who cares".
So in that regard it is probably a good thing to talk about in any of
these stages. Even now, because if I can find something like this that
bothers me, it can use some processing, and might be helpful to others.
If it isn't helpful it isn't and it doesn't really matter. People can
just skip over things.

I think people associate Jesus with the Old Testament ways, even though he
came to offer a way that wasn't so violent. As for stoning people, folks
just assume they mean throwing rocks at them, because they're primitive. But
you can also stone someone by giving them some pot to smoke.

While I'm sure of myself, one thing I'm not decided on is whether we
actually have complete spirits, or whether we're already spirits who are
trapped in a belief that we are mortal, and therefore we bleed.
Many people who believe in having a spirit seem to think that the spirit is
all-knowing and it's just trying to teach the body its lessons. But I've
thought that *we* in our human bodies are the best humans we can be, and our
spiritual particles are scattered about. Knowing yourself is about
recognizing your spiritual particles coming together, gravitating toward
what they recognize as their own kind in your physical presence.
Given this scenario, as more of our particles gather into one location (like
the "children of Israel" returning to their homeland), the more we will know
ourselves and be able to turn our physical bodies into immortal bodies of
gods.

I don't know what attracts me to it. I think it's because I enjoy
conversation, but people who agree usually don't post. They just agree with
it in their privacy, then move on to other messages.

I think it's good exercise to communicate with people who hate and disagree
with you to the extent that he does. It's fascinating to see how they react
because I try to reply to what's there, and not what I remember from past
conversations. That means I might think one thing someone says is quite
wise, while other things are stupid. I reply in kind, and read in
fascination as my compliments are interpreted with the same vitriol as the
things I disagree with.

That's one of his wildcards he uses to reply when all of the angles
from which he can argue his point and actually win a conversation
based on logic and reasoning is gone. I doubt he even reads replies.
He's just mentally exhausted and can't think anymore. I think he just
does it to have the last word, too.

Of course, what he doesn't seem to believe is that I did that by /choice/,
not lack of ability. I didn't want to climb the corporate ladder. I'm not
ashamed of having delivered pizza. I just get tired of the illogical
connection people make between one's choice of work and their intelligence
level...as if we have no choice, as if it's the only job we can get.
Many jobs I've had I've been asked to advance into management, and
disappointed those already in management who urged me to go for it when I
turned the offer down. I don't /want/ to be in positions of authority. And
while I'm not against the idea of working in an office environment, and
while I'm good with office applications, somehow office environments just
aren't very comfortable for me.
Basically I choose a life plan that's right for me. I certainly can't
expect someone like Rod Speed to understand. As for BBDD, many of the

Well, that no thought occurs without a physiological reaction is quite true.
I recognize my own physiological reactions to my own thoughts, but I use
this as a tool for self-judgment and self-advancement toward perfection and
immortality. BBDD, in his statement, instead chooses to use that as a tool
for the judgment of others when he says, "This is the method for measuring
men" and "Even in the words they write they betray every thought." Both are
true, but that he doesn't also mention the self-assessments you can do by
being aware of your own thoughts and physiological reactions to them, you
can learn a lot more about yourself.
He's evil, basically. He thinks he's got it right and everyone who
disagrees is wrong. And even those who agree only become targets for his
further evangelism, apparently.

The latter is basically true. It's all 'spirit'. Nature is
supernatural. The body is the soul in chemical clothes. Most of

Einstein's Uncertainty Principle talks about indeterministic internal
particle smearing of the particles that make up everyday objects. In my
view, internal particle smearing is a reaction to our own thoughts and being
unclear in our higher minds about what we really want to see. External
particle smearing is starting to be witnessed by physicists, and I see this
as part of the awakening of the universe. External particle smearing will
lead to thought-responsive matter: Harry Potter magic, but without the help
of special effects teams from Hollywood.
I had the mental construct of the spirit being atomized into astral

Yes, but the contrast between the experience of having a physical body, and
being aware that you also have a glorified body in your possession that has
not manifested results in our search for ways to bring it to be so we can
see it when we look in the mirror. To me, this is something that will
happen whether I want it to or not. But rather than just lay around in bed
and wait for it to happen, I do things with my life to make the trip to
immortality more fun and interesting. Sure, I can get all the fun I want
just sitting in a chair, but interacting with the things around me is just
part of the process. It's not necsesary that I do one thing or another to
ensure success. It's just a series of choices of what I *want* to do.
Furthermore, the more I consider it, the more it often seems like my not
having transformed has simply been a choice, even though it always felt like
an inability -- as if I needed some external deity to do it for me, and tell
me anytime I made a wrong move, or offer advice about which choice would
have the best results, since deity exists outside space and time. Since I
was not "allowed" to know the results of my choices before I decided to make
them, I had to simply make the choice to believe one thing or another, then
believe it. The results make themselves known both immediately and later.
It's sort of like The Matrix, having to pick the red pill or the blue pill,
but not knowing the results of either one. The difference is that the mind
has not only more than two choices, but varying degrees of auxiliary
attributes that affect the outcome of the choice.

I don't get into using the proper nouns of the various religions since it's
my goal to unify them all into one mode of existence. So to me, a
Bodhisattva is a human being. We're all destined for enlightenment. But

I'm not into moving mountains. I can't even move objects on the desk, but
I'm also aware of the reason why. Since some feelings come at me like
whiplash, I'm afraid I might do something similar when trying ot move
something and cause the object to fly right up into my face and put my eyes
out. I can feel these fears and physiological reactions to them as I try to
move things, and yet I can also feel the energies coming out of my face,
chest and forehead that will lead to being able to move objects once I get
over the trepidation and any other obstacles that stand in the way of it.

Yes, the wording is important. "Believe that you receive them" is not the
same thing as "believe that you will receive" or "believe that you are
receiving". Both of those mindsets will result in failure. LITERALLY, you
must "believe you receive them". At least to a point. After that you get
to the point where you know that just thinking about something at all causes
it to happen to you (on the... "spiritual" ...side) and the spell I cast on
myself is that whether I actually believe I've received something or not
doesn't matter. If I resist, it simply stops coming in from the front, and
swings around to come in from the back, fully. I wouldn't want to try to
move a mountain with that method. It might cause the mountain to first move
into the ocean slowly, then when I change my mind, it continues going on its
own and makes too big of a splash, or something, and causes a 3-mile high
tidal wave in California.

I just know the mental route from not having an orgasm to having one. It's
about connecting feelings, remembering how it feels at different stages,

It's a learning experience. I have even messed up a few times, ruining the

That works. But so does my construct. Just depends on how hell-bent you
are on gluing yourself to that one construct while disallowing all others.
Nothing wrong with that, either, except that it sometimes causes you to say
that things are impossible which are not, since you may only see the
bottleneck as being that one, core issue, clouding your ability to find
other issues that cause other bottlenecks.

I didn't equate the brain with the mind, either. The brain is what you know
and understand fully. The mind is what has yet to be absorbed as full
understanding. The mind makes sense as it comes in, but you get the feeling
that there's more where that came from.
But it doesn't matter. We exist, that's enough. How we visualize the way
we pull it all together into something that makes sense is a matter of
personal preference. I can just as easily imagine my physical brain as
containing all information I must find as easily as I can imagine it's
coming from the mind. I'll toggle between the two like a light switch, too.
It doesn't matter to me how I think of it. Sometimes I create a new way to
communicate everytime I feel the need. One time, and just one time, I even
constructed a setup (happens in an instant) in the universe is like an
internet server. I get a packet of information and I run a checksum
algorithim on it to make sure it matches up with where it's supposed to fit
in my understanding. We tossed the energy and feelings back and forth a few
times, and once we were satisfied that our checksums were valid, we accepted
it all and went on to the next experience. Do I do this all the time? No.
I just used it once, and I haven't used it again. I build something
different anytime I'm thirsty for a more dynamic experience.

Not really. The truth is very simple. He just got it faster. Probably

How long do you think that perception of yours will last? How long will you
choose to have that belief restrict what you are allowing yourself to
experience? I tell you that a blanket statement like the one you made above
does *NOT* apply to me. Magickal manifestations around me fit perfectly
with my reality. They are not bizarre, disconnected hallucinations. They
fit perfectly with my thinking, my current paradigm, and my understanding of
everything.
I cannot move mountains at this moment. But I can create small sounds
outside my body. Some are accidents, but I recognize them when they happen,
and each time I pick up a little more of how they actually manifested. I've
experimented through trial and error, trying to make sounds outside my body,
or intentional illusions of light. Tonight I succeeded in creating a sound
when I actually wanted one. I surprised even myself at this. But it was a
lot like fixing something by accident. The thing is that when we think,
there are some parts of our thoughtstream that we aren't able to perceive
immediately. They run the automated things of reality that cannot harm us.
But those hidden thoughtstreams become more exposed the more you try to
perceive them and work with them. I haven't tried making any more sounds
since I did that one because I've been posting messages here. I plan to try
some more later tonight after I take a shower later tonight.

I once met a guy who believed fully that he was Jesus. He was a big black

with better features do not do sig files ~ they have “graphic
signatures” that link to one’s site. This is standard on Delphi,
Yahoo, and MSN groups, as well as many others. To advertise you must
be selling something. I don’t. Segments of my sites are my signature.
That is the way it is done these days. One promotes a site that
doesn’t sell anything. One advertises things for sell. Even if you
have advertising on you site it is standard practice to promote one’s
site in groups and on forums. It is far more constructive than just
stupidly arguing about pointless things. I don’t even have advertising
on my sites. You might say my sites are used much like a descriptive
phrase uttered in a renaissance man way.
