Greetings Bristolian,
It seems that any followers of a religion where they deem their god is
Jesus and do not believe in the authority of the Church or Rome nor adhere
to its Papal Bulls are Protesting against that authority, and thereby a
Protestant. A follower that is more than just a blind sheep would research
the basis of the authority of the Church of Rome. This appears to come
directly from the disciple Peter being given as written in his works, the
keys to Heaven and Hell by his god Jesus and becoming the first Pope. This
then is specifically the apositicalitic succession which claims this
authority given to Peter by his god Jesus has been passed in succession to
each of the following Pope's. This is the foundational base of authority of
the Church of Rome, and those which protest that authority while adhering
there god is also Jesus are Protestants. It does not matter if those
Protestant's dance with rattlesnakes, speak in tongue's, drink strychnine,
or paint hex symbols on their homes and barns, they are all Protestant
Christen followers.
New age religion is often a term used without any basis of substance or
fact. Most of the religions grouped into that category far pre-date
Christianity. The legend of Osirius Slain and Risen closely matches what
thousands of years later the modern day Christens state is the resurrection
of their god Jesus. The goddess of the Moon for the Babylonia's is named Sin
and no doubt the Hebrews knew of this goddess in their attempts to turn
their members away from following that goddess. The god of Christians
repeatedly stated on more than one occasion (provided the biblical
statements are indeed the words of their god) that followers of that god are
forbidden to speak to and with the spirits of the dead. This apparently is
completely ignored by those that adhere they are followers of the god Jesus
and yet follow those practices.
