Quote:

Since his arrest, Nania has enrolled in the Narconon program, a long-
term, private-pay residential drug treatment program in Colorado. He
has passed all urine analyses and breath tests, and will complete the
program in mid-November.

Nania appeared at Tuesday's hearing beside his defense lawyer, John
Smith, who asked the court to allow the man to continue his course of
treatment.

"This court has allowed Mr. Nania to engage in residential drug
treatment rather than spending time sitting in the Missoula County
Detention Facility," Smith wrote in a motion to the court. "This has
truly been a blessing for Mr. Nania, as he has made great strides in
understanding his addiction and how he can make changes within himself
to avoid future destructive decisions. His treatment is a benefit to
our community as well, because it paves the way for Mr. Nania to one
day be a productive and contributing member of our society."

Letters submitted to the court by Narconon supervisors explain that
Nania has made progress at the private treatment program, and that,
upon completing the program, he will be offered a six-month
internship.

"He is going to jail regardless and has known this all along," wrote
Eric Sonnhalter, a Narconon supervisor. "While here, he has made huge
strides in his ability to control his temper as well as his actions.
He is a man who wants to do well and more importantly wants to see
others do well, too. I can honestly say that Daniel has taken what he
has done to heart and really tried to better himself."

Assistant U.S. Attorney Tara Elliott, who is prosecuting the case, did
not object to Smith's motion for Nania's continued release.

OMG, he robbed the same place three times within a little over two
months, and gave the pharmacist a note threatening murder with his
fingerprints on it. Good clues as to why he was stupid enough to put
his faith in Narconon.

My thoughts exactly, Eldon. But one has to wonder how stupid the
judge and prosecutor are to allow him to be sent to NarCONON. They
probably have no idea it's a front group for the infamous "church" of
Scamology. Reminds me of the stupid Oklahoma judge and Senator who
were also clueless, but that was two decades ago. You'd think a
simple google search today could/would have clued them in. Ditto for
the reporter.

I wonder if/when the guy gets sent to jail, if he will be a NarCONon/
Crimanon toadie for the CO$. I also wonder how he "found" NarCONon or
did NarCONon "find" him? Also who's paying for it or is NarCONon
giving him a "free" rehab now as an investment for future "clients"?

It sounds like they want him on staff.

That article appears to have been moved so here's the newest link on
that site.

Sadly, this is not unheard of. Remember that guy who got parole for
selling drugs so he could go to Narconon GA and then work there?
Anthony Mariani?
http://narconon-facts.blogspot.com/2005/11/narconon-counselor-found-guilty-of.html

Well, he was recently sentenced for possession and several parole
violations which ocurred over the past 5 years of those very charges
he got out of to work at Narconon. He's currently back in a rehab in
Lancaster and then to Jail.

Isn't that a six-month 'intensive?' with no possibility of parole
from $cientology.

Narconon will 'graduate' the student and addict him to space cooties
on drugs.
