Kelly's biological father drowned when Kelly was three years old. Her
mother later remarried Peter Palzis and he adopted Kelly soon after.

I knew Peter Palzis in Hawaii in the mid 80's and actually had dinner with him on several occations. Once, I was invited to his apartment and I did'nt know his daughter, was Kelly Preston until he showed me her (huge) picture in his hallway. He talked about her in very high regard. There was something about her name, that she had just changed it or something like that. There is another story about Peter I want to share. The night before I was to go on trial he met with me and supported me with a caring heart. I always wanted to thank him but lost contact with him after I lost my case. RIP Peter....and Kelly if you ever read this he adored you and understood why you changed your name.
