If Larry Sarner were a gentleman instead of a scam artist, he'd stick up for his advisory board member.

But no.

He sulks in Loveland, having been chased around the block by an imaginary number.

He locks himself in the bathroom, suspecting that Peter Paul Luce continues to conspire against him.

He rants in the wilderness at his perceived wickedness of Bela Scheiber and Carla Selby.

He mopes, pondering his lack of an invitation to The Amazing Meeting.

He's forgotten the chain rule.

He laments not having paid more attention to Lobachevsky.

Now, when she needs his help, Monica Pignotti does not get it from him.

Larry Sarner. A case study in human failure.
