Was this a wealthy fish that fell off the hook before it could be brought
into the Scientology boat?

I presume this to be the case, since there has been virtually no US news
regarding his relationship with Cruise over the past two years.

The Channel Nine reporter Peter Overton certainly got an intimate view
of Tom Cruise's private life in Los Angeles last week. While Nine
denied rumours that a condition of Overton interviewing the actor was
his attending the Church of Scientology for four hours, Spike is
informed Overton was "invited" to go along.

"He was invited to attend the Church of Scientology, which he happily
accepted. It will feature in the story on Tom Cruise, along with the
interview he conducted," a Nine spokesman said yesterday.

Overton's boss, James Packer, attends the Church of Scientology and is
a close mate of Cruise. We understand the interview with Cruise, to
coincide with the release of his mega blockbuster War of the Worlds,
touched on some particularly sensitive issues.

One question Overton put to the actor was whether his ex-wife, Nicole
Kidman, was the one true love of Cruise's life. Spike has been told by
well-placed sources that Cruise, left, took great offence and suggested
that Overton was "ill-mannered" for asking. A Nine spokesman said the
question did "raise Tom's hackles" but would not elaborate. The
interview is expected to be screened before the film is released in
June.

Yes, he appears to be "in." Very sorry to hear of this. At one point a rumor
circulated that his father intended to disinherit him if he joined the cult.
Guess this was simply an insubstantial rumor.

This is something I was doing a bit of looking at a few weeks back. I
thought he was in, then found a bit that said he was out, and this latest is
that he's in.

I don't know if Jamie's dad would have disinherited him, but old Kerry would
no douhbt have everything tied up very, very tightly.

Scienocultists like Cruise are well trained to this specific ill-manner: never
responding to people who ask quesions they don't like, whether because they have
much to hide, or because they feel offensed, or whatever.

Scientologist applying their PR series + TR 0 + "code of Honor" are despicable
and impolite, and accuse others to be since "never defend, always attack".

Bad manners with large smiles .
