Go to http://www.google.com/advanced_group_search?hl=en
and enter alt.religion.scientology into the newsgroups field,
click on Google Search, and you get a pop-up window that
says "Scientology(R) is a registered trademark of the Religious
Technology Center, which may not be used without the express
written permission of the trademark owner." I hope somebody
kept an archive of these postings in a safe place. :-)

Seems fine here as well.
I entered "alt.religion.scientology" in this field:

Someone mentioned it possibly could be regional; perhaps it is.

Well, truth be told, I forgot for a minute it was april

albeit a feeble one.

Google has been internally compromised by the cult for quite some time now.
They had been giving over 9,000 hits on the 'scientology, satanism, Parsons,
Hubbard, OTO, puthoff, CIA' search string until last August 2001, then by Nov
2001 I got two hits on that search string...now its up to 50 hits.... a net
20,000% decline in hits on Hubbard expose in that category range.

Please notice that the most vocal critic of my remarks a few months ago, that
Google had been compromised was by Sten Arne...who had a complete log of ARS
posts... and two days ago said he was leaving and that he would no longer be
keeping his archives after a certain date.

The rest of the Google archives are next. The cult has many members that could
afford singly or together to buy google out of pocket change... not to mention
a controlling interest.... and no... they wouldnt anounce it.

Google would just start killing critical material on Hubbub..

well maybe on a single point... the larger picture is that google has cut it
hits from over 9,000 to 50 on the search strings (and its variants) I use.
That is not a coincidence.
