This, their second conference, was devoted to Scientology so Anonymous and
I went along. Quick summary of the program:
Tom Sackville MP the FST Chairman chaired the meeting.
Ursula Caberta was scheduled to attend but was unable to come due to
illness.
Christophe Heroufosse from CIAOSN the Belgian government cult watch group
gave us the latest from that country. The two major court cases that could
result in the banning of the CoS grind on, and may even finish the
preliminary hearings this year.
Dr John Butler, a psychologist, spoke on how recent research into the mind
should be changing attitudes on how cults manipulate members.
Brainwashing, for long a derided concept amongst religious experts, may be
making a comeback.
Peter Martinelli from the Common Council of the City of London assured us
that not everyone in the City was supporting their new neighbours.
John Duignan spoke on his own experiences.
Anonymous told of the Internet vs Scientology and their 2008 adventures.
Audrey Chaytor spoke movingly on how Scientology is founded on lies.
It was interesting to meet all the above and others.
As a footnote, our glum friends across the street did their best to
disrupt the conference. Get a clue guys, childish anonymous phone calls
don't impress people of influence.

Tsk. It'll still be derided amonst the NRM Fan Club. He's a psychologist,
so he has no standing whatsoever, right? The mainstream .. of eight or so
people, with or without academic qualifications .. will continue to insist
that North Korea proved that there is no such thing as brainwashing. QED!
